Arundathi, A must watch movie
by arun kumar on Mar 16, 2009 01:39 PM

This is a movie that will be trendsetter in india cinema, as far as horror movies are regarded. The story evolves around three main charcters. It is a great surprise to watch a non-hero centric movie. The pratongonist happens to be a women and that's huge boost performance oriented movies. A special note to the directors tight script with necessity visual graphics. Music though has less scope in terms of songs, the re-recording deserves a specail mention. Overall it was new experience in wathing non-commerical movie.

Hats off to the star cast in the movie and director.

I really dont like indian movies unless if they have good comedy track but Arundathi is a must watch. I just saw this movie "Twilight" .. its kinda ok and has better visual and sound effects than Arundathi but the later is a worth watching. It has indian nativity and Anuskha is stunningly beautiful and commands respect for her mesmerizing performance :)

Who is this Radhika

When I saw it for the first time in Hyderabad IMax, there were people (I observe more of Nothies) in the theatre who clapped at the end of movie as a respect for the movie.

Does she has any knowledge for the pulse of the audience. This movie is worth for a rating of 4.25. The way the movie was picturized is awesome.

And Finally, I am going to watch it tomorrow for the fourth time.

Message: Please don't watch this film in pirated copies. I swear, this movie is worth watching in theatres.

Despite the fact that this movie borrows some special scenes from other movies, it is still a lovely movie to watch.

The drum dance: lifted/ inspired from "the house of flying daggers" (chinese)

The walking on the roof scene (jayalalita): Lestat's walk from Queen of the damned (or one could say inspired from Francis Ford Coppola's dracula).

Then we have shades of MUMMY (plague in the village).

Nevertheless, it is a movie to be watched in the theater (may be more than once).

Rediff is biased against telugu movies...that's for sure as it mainly tends to promote tamil cinema as its owned by a tamilian..
This masterpeice deserves a 4 1/2 star!!

Arundhati roxs n they r planning to dub it into 7 languages n dillydallying on whether to remake it in hindi wid aishwarya rai or just dub it!!
The special effects are world class despite a modest budget of 13 crores!!!
Story is da real king though!
