You have been asking this question like a hundred times and I honestly think that you have a discolation which prevents what your eyes read from entering into your brain. Nonetheless, here's the answer.
A Kannada film costs 1-2 crores to make (Mostly less, sometimes more) and distributors buy the region rights by paying 15-20-50 lakhs depending on the region and the film.
Films from other languages, especially from Tamil/Telugu/Hindi costs a lot more and distributors pay 1-2 crores for the region rights. This doesn't mean they make profit and definitely doesn't mean that these expensive films are better (Mostly, they're horrible with cheap antics from SRK, Rajni or Chiru).
The worst part, these distributors mostly end up losing but wait for that one big hit and hence keep buying the rights from other languages.
So, what they do is, they pay more rent to theatres and suppress the low-budget films (Most of the times, these low budget films are better).
Thus denying the people of their right to choose between good and bad.
Imagine a cinema is Kollegal, where a Kannada film doesn't get released (A good one) and instead a Tamil film gets released (A horrible one). The person in Kollegal doesn't get to see the Kannada film and hence cannot decide which is good.
So, a regulation like this (limiting the release), makes sure that the audience get to make a choice. Whichever runs, becomes a hit and others flop.

You're saying Circus is a joke and you haven't even watched it.
That's because your parents have not taught you the basic lesson to SPEAK THE TRUTH. That's in capital letters as well, read and understand.
You have a problem my friend. The problem is your parents have probably beaten you and grown you up in a very abusive environment that you're suffering from inferiority complex.
That's why you won't even dare divulge which state you're from.

There you go again. I have told you that they do so waiting for one big hit, which may or may never happen.
Also, such big hits could come from a low budget film as well, but the capitalistic mentality prevents it from understanding.
It's "fulsome" and not "fullsome". the meaning is overly-full. In otherwords disgusting. You're right Uppi, Vishnu, Jaggesh don't give fulsome entertainment.
Like I said, you have a dislocation which prevents you from understanding things.
It's very simple logic like I explained and you have a problem understanding it because of lack of good culture at home.
I wan't you to either accept what I said or accept that you're an imbecile.
I always bring parents simply because in most cases (Like yours), it's not your fault that you're an imbecile, it's the fault of your parents.

And please don't keep coming with the same question again and again.
The problem is, you have been brought up by parents who haven't taught you manners and teachers who haven't taught you logic.
So, the best possible answer without an iota of abuse is to tell you, "please get educated and make sure that you marry an educated girl and teach good values to your children".
This is just a suggestion. You can as well ignore it and let your children grow up to be imbeciles like yourselves.

You pea brain, dont you realise Bollywood has a national presence and not regional presence. Obviously the Bollywood films are big budget, and runs across sectors. Kannada movies are doing well with its own limitations. You dont understand business matrix. Yes its high time Kannada movies are safegaurded against money powered lousy movie producers and people like you who speak for it.

First of all Handi movies are made in URDU language and not Hindi. Educated Handi or Bollywood actors have a good contact with Dawood Ibrahim. Majority Handi educated baiyyas or class ppl are involved in Brutal murders, cannibalism, Dacoits etc..(Remember Arushi case at Noida) These Handis atleast visit Karnataka and kannada ppl and better become more cultured and civilised ppl. Sorry to say that Poopa is a big Handi!hehehe

A billion uneducated nincompoops from UP/Bihar/MP/Rajasthan and of course Pakistan and bangladesh.
The most educated part of India, which is south India cares two farts about Bollywood.
Re: Apt name

Bollywood heroes won't stand a chance as spotboys in Kannada films, because they're such nincompoops and talentless.
The Critics of Karnataka are not working for aiding the film industry. For example just see the review of Circus film, though he has praised the film, he has given 3 star. If he has gievn 3.5 to 4 star, this might have boost the film. Today Kannada film inductry is suffering like anything, critics are need to support the film which has good production values. Recently released Bombat and Sangama are bombed at Box office despite of having Good production values. The reason for failure of these movies is critics attitude towards the film.So please 'wake up critics' Kannada film industry needs your help.

Abe penni (sorry pen), what you know about Kannada film industry and critics. Have seen Sangama? Have you read the review of Sangama? Sangama was a best film and should have run for 100 days if not 25 weeks. So dont make any nonsense statement

His movies did not flop or bomb at the box office. It did not do well as his other movies. The last couple of movies did make sufficient money for the producers.
