I hope Amir knows his worth!!

This guy is one hell of an irritating character. He doesn't go to any bollywood award shows but tries hard for Oscars. While the fact is both have their own share of goof ups!!

It was expected that TZP would not make to the Oscar. This subject is pretty old in Global film work. Also a condition like Dyslexia is not taken that seriously as American Schools are pretty quick to pick up such a condition.
In American many dyslexic people are on very high profile position.

The correct entry should have been Mumbai Meri Jaan as it is unique on the sense of being an Indian subject.

Oscar winners

If the readers would actually read all the comments they would realise that many comments are, in fact redundant or unnecessary.
The Oscar are awarded by the members of the Academy Awards Union. These are American actors and cinema industry workers who know little of the world beyond the US and Europe.
Good filming, creative screenplay and suggestive productions capture their imagination. Not Indian songs and dances done on foreign locations! Actors who portray the characters in the world can be old, ugly but true. In India only well made up pretty actors (male, female) in western clothes are considered and shown. Therefore when some white guy shows the stinking excretion (human waste) on the roads, the poor in torn rags and the hungry in India which they think is THE ONLY reality, they are happy to acknowledge this.
Now we can:
Refuse to accept this or try to change our society by working to liberate the poor and hungry. We can learn cleanliness and self respect, give dignity to the homeless. Are we willing to change our selfish way of life or are we going to complain all the time about why our "false depiction" of life is not winning prizes in the world

Aamir is the biggest Actor in today’s scenario after Amit Ji. It does not matter that TZP could not get Oscar. But we all know that what a fabulous movie it was.

Which movie was the last movie that AB had a hit in except for Sarkar raj? it was KANK. 3 years ago so how big is AB today? Ghajni got only 91 crores from india with promote and Rab ne got 81 crores without promote so how big is Aamir compare to King Khan? Look when Billu Barber breaks Ghajni record as King Khan will teach Aamir how to promote a movie.

Did you ever see these movies i.s slumdog, salaam india, water, mother india, lagaan properly nd u must be joking to ignore these movies ar very good in comparison to TZP.

TZP has nothing to get a nomination frm oscars itself as the story is not tht convincing , nd executing of the story is not as good as movie tht shud deal w.special needs children w.a disorder.

Actually TZP is one of those feel good movies, wer its predictable nd the dialogues ar pretty lame considerin in the millenium tht parents nd school system still doesn't know how to diagnose problems faced by children.

No doubt TZP is an excellent movie to come out from "bollywood" ever, bt in the international arena its one of those kid's movies which has a predictable story.

You don't need oscars to decide if TZP ws good movie, as the american dyslexic association hailed the movie as the best. On the contrary, TZP has not garnered international accalim in terms of festivals as other movies in the past has like Rang De previously Taahan.

Usually films tht do get nominated into golden globes nd oscars ar the ones tht have won awards in film festivals around the world.

I am happy that TZP did not get nominated for oscars. Aamir khan does not respect indian film awards and how will he get an international award... Amir khan should respect indian film awards first.

TZP was a brilliant movie for india and indians. The theme of the film is dyslexia and people in the west are aware of this problem much more than people in india and it's not such a big deal there so TZP would not appeal to them as much as to indians.
