but this season sure promises a good harvest for "Bollywood" and we hope that these underdogs may soon learn to chase oscars on their own, rather than on a wheelchair of hollywood.
Congratulations Pookutty and Congratulations Dileep Sekhar! You have indeed done the country proud. I wish you all the best and wish that you bring in more oscars back to India.

If you are so concerned about the regions (North, South, East, West) then why are you using "Indians" after South? Why do you call yourself Indians at all..bloody traitor?
As immigrants, asians destroy the culture of thier host nations, like locusts devouring a field of crops. In the UK they are totally isolated communities, who want nothing to do with anyone outside of their own enthic group. They exploit everything & give nothing back. So while this film paints a nice picture of everyone happily cosying up together here in Britain, I thought I would give you all a view of the real picture. I live in an area of the UK (Wembley) which is now an asian area. It has taken them around 15 years to completely annihilate any sign of the British culture and replace it with thier own. I am now a foreigner in my own country & they make it very clear that I'm not welcome. They view outsiders as filth & there's nothing cosy about that.

remember Mr. guest, it was your country GB that stole everything from India. India was the riches country on earth untill 1857, that is untill you set your foot into INDIA. now you call us locusts? you are thiefs, that stole from my country, now its our turn.

What a revoltingly narrow-minded racist individual 'Guest' reveals him/herself to be! Fortunately not all British people share this view. As a Londoner I welcome ALL to our fabulously diverse and multi-cultural city. And as somebody who LOVES India I am absolutely DELIGHTED to see Slumdog Millionaire winning so many oscars. It is a beautiful film that made me laugh and cry, and most of all has inspired me to return to India for another long trip as soon as possible. Jai Hind indeed!

Dear Mr. Guest, If you are feeling foreign in your own country, it is probably your own fault. Indians are known to be loving, forgiving, and accepting. How else would you explain a functional democracy with more than 100 different official languages? Try to have a broader perspective. Indians welcome foreigners into their lands and homes and treat guests as equal to Gods. Try being more open and accepting. Indians have proven their abilities in different parts of the universe as well as in different professions. If you start hating them, you might have to find yourself a forest to live in isolation. They are everywhere and you cannot stop their success.
Your anger and frustration will bring misery to noone but yourself. Hope you find peace.

I understand your concern abt diminishing britishness in ur country, mainly due to "intruding" immigrants... of course this is a sorry state of affairs n no doubt, disturbing. But that's the way the global world is moving and u hv to accept it... every other country is having reason to worry bcoz of seeping immigrants who hardly care for assimilation and on the turn, make their ignorance a face of pride. Even India is facing this problem with countless Bangledeshis and Burmese folks who can't even learn the local language, forget abt our history...... may be love and acknowledgement of history is the solution here... culture n traditions takes centuries to build up n its important that immigrants from other roots care enough for these feelings.
"Peace would have been more costly than it is now, thanks to stupid wars around us."

Dear Mr. Guest, If you feel like an outsider in your own country, it is probably your own fault. Indians have provent their talents in different parts of the world and in different professions. If you cannot surpass them, learn to accept them. Indians don't feel insecure when people from outside come to their country, why do you? They treat their guests as equal to Gods. They feed you even if they don't have food. Try to have a broader perspective of life.
Your attitude will bring misery to no one but you.
