It is their wisdom about world Music.

Grammy music award is for western music world.Which is more contemporay than Indian classical music. But look they have awarded Husain as " Contemporary World Music Album category for his collaborative " . This indicate how much less knowledge about the World Music they have. They are giving credit to these Indian great musician so late. This is gross hypocracy as far as music is concern. But one thing is sure is that slowly they can not deny the supremacy of the half of the world population.

sir, the article mentions that the first ever Grammy Award in the World Music category went to Zakir Hussain and Mickey Hart in 1991 for their collaboration Planet Drums. That was the first ever award in World Music Category.
