God Himself
Just saw the movie!! Felt Incomplete....
by God Himself on Feb 21, 2009 09:14 PM

Background score amazing and appealing.
A good one time watch...
Fully agree that Chetan is a capable actor except for few of his dialouges.
The movie has a strong theme but failed to have a good climax...
I think the kannada industry is more focussed on the longs and dadagiri.
I am sure we can give much better stories which themes out being useful and something to carry out of the cinema hall..

I agree the film is just 'an old wine in an old bottle!'..just to let you know that wine always tastes better when it gets older. Similarly, I can say it's a good film!

I don't understand why we are whining so much. Making movies is not like sipping coffee. Lets appreciate the good parts and not be so harsh cuz we can watch easily but can we make a good movie? If yes, then lets talk..if not then, lets be less critical and more supportive.

Why u blame on kannada movies only.
by chandran on Feb 09, 2009 09:20 PM

Some craps here post lousy messages against kannada movies and always like to attack on Dr.Raj,s family members.Instead of blaming others, y don't the attackers make a good and swamake movie by iinvesting the money from their pocket?Sure ppl will support if it is really good one.Majority of Remake movies of kannada are flop b cos of lack of nativity.
The real decision makers are the audience. It is in the hands of audience weather to make a film success or flop. Now remake culture is present in every language in India and Kannada is not exceptional.

The truth
by Ting Tong on Feb 09, 2009 05:10 PM  | Hide replies

My message may be reported for abuse but the following are the facts..

on the whole, Kannada movie is in the doldrums..no point saying songs and fights are good..as if they make up a movie..

This downtrend started about 15 years ago and the reasons are clear..

1)family control over movies..it is time a single family control over movies is stopped...all of us know the cause and yet want to turn a blind eye...sons of heros are propped up as huge stars...good talent is getting stifled owing to devious schemes.

2)Remakes....this should stop..why remakes as if we lack creativity..

2)Poor looking heros and heroines..agreed looks are not everything..but a meal should look good apart from being tasty...crude looking sons of real estate owners are made heros in movies full of vulgarity and violence and enough money is spent on marketing to make sucess stories out of them...

4)poor scripts..our literature is so good..why can't movies be made on those..audience should also wake up.the GK's of the world cannot make movies unless we go and see..we seem to be happy seeing mediocre movies and making them good...

I really miss the Kannada movies till 80's..good scripts..melodious music and movies with content..hope those days are back soon...

i agree, above all there is this new trend of picturizing heroes with swords in their hands. Arent we encouraging violence which is very much against our culture. And it goes without saying that most of the stories in our kannada movies try very hard to resemble and hero worship some or the other underworld antisocial elements.

This is all because of you idiots who make comments without seeing movies. You people alway crib saying this & that. when the hero is good looking, you dont support him by saying that he does no know how to act and dont support. When the hero is bad looking, but if he gives good movies, then you say he is not good looking and don;t support. In this year only, we had 3 great looking actors (Kiran, Rocky and Chetan) Unless you support by watching them, tell me how can they come up.

One the contrary, it is idiots like you who blindly support the movies due to your religious fanaticism that the kannada movie industry is in the state like this. Go and watch movies from competing regional cinemas and see how mature they are in terms of technology, quality of acting, richness of story and scripts etc.
And you have not answered all his points. Just one. And you mention 3 good looking ones and forget 100 other ugly ones. GROW UP.

I don't completely blame the film-makers as the majority of the audience residing in k'taka demand movies in which they expect heroes to hold weapons. Otherwise they consider they effiminate or not masculine.
Also talking about good looking heroes, not that other regional films have plenty of em.
I'm glad talented actors like Chetan and Yash are coming up as it's increasing the standards of the kannada industry.
The fact is we need more talented directors like Chaitanya(Aa Dinagalu) and Yograj Bhatt(Mungaru male).

Do not talk without any sense. Other film industries have only come up with craps in the last few years except for very few movies. Kannada has produced very good movies in the last year in Galipata, Moggina Manasu, Mussanjeya Maatu, Galabi Talkies, TajMahal. Now you idiots ignore this & just look at some crap movies and start talking nonsense.
