I would like people to be reminded of 'Chetan Bagat's' statement that 'People who want to judge his accusation should read his fiction 'five point something' and then see the movie, before judging his stance'.
Now, for the adolescent 'lay public' who are uninitiated into the field of 'film, media and entertainment' publicity this might be seemingly be a 'big brawl' between an author and a 'copy cat' producer, director and actor.
But for people with a fairly good and mature perception of human behavior, 'Chetan Bagat's' statement gives an entirely different meaning.
And for them, it would just mean - those 'Idiots' out there who haven't read my book, read it now and then go watch the film '3 Idiots' (Perhaps as a fourth 'Idiot') and those 'Idiots' who dares to 'view' the film without reading the book should read my book and then see the film 'once again'.
And thus a 'few' million more adolescent 'Idiots' start buying 'Chetan Bagat's' 'Five Point Something' and then would stand in the 'queues' to see '3 more Idiots' on the screen.
Thus we might safely conclude that, of the trio Ameer khan, Chetan Bagat and Hirani no one is an 'Idiot' as they make millions of their 'adolescent' and 'fake adolescent' fans as 'Idiots'.
The movie is awesome...Aamir releases only one movie a year & each one is a spectacle to watch - RDB, TZP, Ghajini & now 3 Idiots..Copy or no copy..the acting is amazing...its fultoo fun!!
though i like aamir very much the last two films has brought a question on his credibility. when Ghajini was released there was a huge uproar about how copyrights have been violated.
the tamil version producer claimed that hindi version producer (allu arvind) bought only TELUGU DUBBING rights and not for HINDI REMAKE. And they claimed that all involved in Ghajini Hindi version (Producer Allu, Aamir Khan and Director A R Murugadoss, sadly director was same for both versions and yet he also involved since he was promised of a glittering career in hindi) forged the document and have changed it into Hindi remake rights.
at that time they denied the claims but it was used as a publicity stunt and was in the headlines of media. Later the Madras High court (ofcourse by that time movie finished its run) asked Hindi producers to pay tamil producer for copy right violations, but this time the news was published in a tiny column at the back pages.
Even the amount they paid was very less, as against the claims fo Rs 200 crore success (had a party with cake figuring 200 crore), in court they said film grossed only 80 to 90 crores and the remaining amount were of TV and Music rights, so that they pay less to the poor tamil producer.
now this stands worth to suspect aamir's credibility in 3 idiots also and make us to believe chetan bagat though i have not read the book.
hope aamir dont make such mistakes again and hope he wont force his fans like me to become a fan of SRK or others

Absolutely no loutish business in his movies. A complete gentleman actor, just like Dharam and Jeetu of those days.
Intelligent actor, who does not always to fight to be in the limelight in a frame of shot.
Some people are just too fond of Hollywood actors. But many hollywood actors are so so loud like SRK - Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Leonardo. Only Paul Newmann and Marlon Brando were true actors, they made the character and the scene with their interpretation. In the current lot, only Jude Law and Johny Depp are worthy .
With 3I, Aamir has shown a class of fine acting. This fine acting also belongs to Abhay Deol anf few other actors we already know of - KKMenon, Atul Kulkarni, Naseer.
Guys give some credit to the script writer. i follow chtean bhagat, and he is an avg writer (my favorite is Ravi Balasubramanyam - If God was a banker). But we must give credit to the script writer. Chetan could not have written the script. No doubt the movie is inspired by his book. But thats it.
