Hello Sanjoo,
Refer to Best movies of 2009 by Rediff. None of these are listed. This clearly shows that these movies produced by so called top industries like Telugu and Tamil movie Industries are utter crap.
List of movies which are successful and swamake are.
- Manasare
- Kabaddi
- Ambari
- Maleyali Joteyali
- Eddelu Manjunath
- Raj the showman
- Circus
- Venkata in Sankata

Kamale kannige idi Jagavella haladi.

why 5 out of 10 kannanada movies remake of other langauges??

sanjoo,

you cannot conclude that a movie is good because of its box office collection.

There are only a few good movies in Telugu and Tamil. Rest are all only movies with box office returns.

In Tamil, Kamal can think of making movie of different kind. In Telugu, I find no one.

how come you listed "VENKATA IN SANKATA" man. if u feel it is a best or good movie i can imagine your IQ. watch MAIN HOON NAA u will get the facts

You have listed Padayappa and Basha as examples in your other message. Whats great about thses movies other than Rajani's gimmicks?
Almost all the movies you have listed for Telugu and Tamil are inspired by either english or malayalam.
Do you want to know why Kannada is lagging?
In Tamil/Telugu, even if the movie is a average, people will watch it anyways. So there is gauranty of money return. Hence Producers and directors have greater potential to take risks. Inspite of this advantage, barring technical stuff, even Telugu and Tamil fall into the same category.

You cannot judge the movie only by its box office perfomance.

i 'am not saying padayappa and basha are good. but what i 'am saying is this movies are enternainers.
u said in tamil it is kamal.do u know times magazine has given statement that Tollywood is atpar to bollywood and shortly it is going to become a parallel to bollywood.
i hope u know difference between inspiration and copy

In what way that Tollywood is going to be par with bollywood? Bollywood is surviving only because of its market (indian and overseas). Out of a 100 movies 5 to 6 movies actually make it. Rest are all duds (moviewise or box office wise).
And, I know the difference between inspiration and copy.
So you might also know the difference between original and inspired ones.
