I feel very sad for sudden demise of this legend actor.Never used to miss his moview while in childhood. It is surprising that he had been so simple, humble nature person. Although I'm true fan of Dr.Raj, I liked his acting skills. He was one of most handsome heros in south india of that time.

Good Article. I am one of the fan following him from Suprabhata movie. After seeing suprabhata I watched few of his 70s hits. According to me Suprabhata movie was his best.
He had problems at his early days through Raj fans. Later on one of his close friend got seperated from him, later on joined and again got seperated, then few great kannada film personalities ignored him for unknown reasons. Very few directors/producers were ready to work with him during late 90s for unknown reasons. Above all these he entered film land when Rajkumar was very popular.
With all the above problems he made his own mark in Kannada film industry and was also known name in neighbouring film industry. That itself speaks about his achivement.
I heard that he did not take up any new assignments for almost one year when his mother was not well. Those days film making cycle was taking lot of time as the technology of film making was not so advanced, as it is now.
In spite of all the above points he was into his 200th movie, Simply great and superb.
I hope that atleast he will be peaceful at HEAVEN without any politics.
Its a shame that even this great actor and entertainer had a bad farewell by some mad people. Just before his pyre was set on fire, the fans (Are they really fans??) set a few cars ablaze !
South bangalore was literally stand-still, not so to pay respect to the legend, but most shops and establishments shut off in fear of a mob attack. And who are these people who attack commonmen ? I swear, they are not even 1% of the entire population. If they can organize and do a goonda raj in bangalore, why not the rest 99% organize and counter them ? Can we form a civic force to protect common people and public asset from such miscreants ? Perhaps, do the job of police voluntarily till they figure out how to do it ? I'm sure Dr.VV's soul must be sad of the damage these fanatics have caused to the state, the people and to his own image.
