This has been such a great loss for this world and Kannada in particular. He was the greatest actor and many of his acting feats have not been emulated even now - 30-40 years after.
I was shocked to know that Dr C.Ashwath had also passed away yesterday - missed this news.
May their souls rest in peace.

As a proud Kannadiga, I feel today there has been a lacuna created with the untimely demise of the two great personalities representing the Kannada film Industry. Both were such towering individuals in their front, they will be deeply missed by not only their fans but all true kannadiga.

If Dr.C Ashwath leaving us yesterday was not enough, why god had to take Vishnuvardhan so soon. Unlike many of the co-artistes of his time he was healthy, lean and goodlooking apart from his acting credentials. When there are lot of useless corrupt politicians in Karnataka, did god have only this person in his list? It is most unfortunate and a terrible loss to karnataka in particular. Anand Murthy
A big loss for the true kannadiga; we have lost a truly unique singer in Ashwath and a truly great actor in Vishnuvardhan. Both were human beings par excellence. In an era where Sugama Sangeetha and Janapada Sangeetha needs protection and encouragement, we have lost the stalwart Ashwath who was a great hope to give a new life to Sugama and Janapada Sangeetha.
As if that loss wasn't enough, Gods have left Kannadigas and Karnataka poorer by taking away one of the father figures in the Kannada Cinema. Vishnu has been the most versatile actor during the golden eras of Kannada Cinema; one of Kanagal's golden finds, an excellent actor and more than anything else, a very good human being.
Let us all pray for the souls of Ashwath and Vishnu to rest in peace and give their families the strength to survive these tough times.
Really we had lost another strong pillar of Kannada film Indurstry and our Kannada industry had become orphan with out two big pillars that is Dr. Raj ji and Dr. Vishnuji. Reallly we are praying god to give him a peace to his soul.
