the journey started when i was doin my b.tech and one of my friend got the 'KANDISA' cassette. i had no idea what this grp is and wats thr style. but after listening to it, i was highly impressed. first time i listened a kind of music that has roots of historical india with a blend of innovative music. thr after i became a fan of them and again i was blessed to see the live performance of the grp in NSIT. probably very few guys were aware abt this grp..but i throughly njoied and also screamed to one of thr new composition. i thot that they will go far due to their unusual music. but perhaps they cud not find a good number of audiences in india who cud respect thr art. its a gr8 loss for the music world which has lost a musician like asheem. GOD rest his soul in peace..ameen!!!!!
The only composition of Indian Oceans that i have listened is Arey Rukh Ja re Bandhey, which is played during the end credits of the movie Black Friday, which i would say introspects the entire movie. A really haunting and marvelous composition. RIP Asheem.
PASSING OF ASSIM IS GREART LOSS OF MUSIC......I PERSONALLY HAVE TOO MANY FOND MEMORIES WITH THE BAND IN OUR COLLEGE DAYS.....THE MUSIC OF INDIAN OCEAN IS BLEND OF TRADITIONAL,FOLK WITH MODERN.....THE MUSIC FOR INDIAN OCEAN IS FOR CAUSE......
