He could have easily turn epics into films, his creativity knew no bounds as the stunts could have been possible only with proper machinary, but he did not have them at that time
You put it preciously; the movie is a ‘rollicking romp of rambunctiousness’, You watch the blue men with awe in the beginning and they slowly stroll to your heart & simply place themselves without being able to shake off even after the movie is over. You fantasies yourself being part of Navi in Pandora & flying one of those dragons and fighting the aliens with Guns (surely they are Americans here), you embrace and pamper them in your heart not because of story but because of the story telling Mr. James Cameroon has done here bringing life to his vivid imagination. It is always ok to dream / fancy things, but it is great to put life to your imagination/fantasy and flabbergast the audience or public with. Hats off to Mr. Cameroon for being a wonderful man with lots of imagination and kudos to the crew of Avatar who realized and read the directors mind and lived up to it, it is a spectacular , jaw-dropping , wonderful ,amazing ,impressive & dazzling visual treat for the audience. Truly a classic of Modern Cinema.
This movie has come out during the copenhagen talks where every country is fighting for their rights to destroy the planet. This is a fantastic movie filled with a good mix of action, adventure and love, portrays the triumph of good over evil in the most entertaining manner possible, with a fairy tale ending. This movie can attract anyone irrespective of their age for it's technical brilliance, emotional content and message. I'm not a movie buff and this is the first time I've been to a cinema in 5 years, worth every bit of my money and time. This movie can be classifed as sci-fi, romance, action and few funny dialogues are there as well. Truly unbelievable!.
I would say this is not a movie..its a EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME...I cant even imagine how james cameroon created the imagination, saw it built a technology that never existed .took alot of risks with large budget..JAMES CAMEROON IS A LEGEND ,without a shadow of doubt I SURELY RECOMMEND..please dont watch on pirated copy, or DVD, or BLU RAY or 2D you will miss alot of things what you cant experience till today its revolutionary movie and amazing way ,every little attention details taken care in creating a whole unthinkable world and connecting it in a smooth way..I SURELY RECOMMEND IT WaTCH..or else you really miss some amazing experience, i bet you wont get to watch this kinda movie in a near future..TILL DATE WHATSOEVER ACTION MOVIES or SCi FI MOVIES came and went...THIS MADE THEM LOOK SMALL...THIS MOVIE CERTAINLY RAISED A HIGH STANDARDS for other movies and it really changed the way of looking at a sci fi movie from a viewers standpoint.AMAZING MOVIE DESERVES FULL CREDIT, AND FULL CREDIT TO JAMES CAMEROON..One must really admire his way of thinking and bring it soo naturally on a movie to express things..UNBELIEVABLE!!! JAMES CAMEROON DELIVERS!! :)..FULL KUDOS..A MUST WATCH!!

I agree.. Pandora was a sight to behold.. it simply blew me away.. Hard to believe that the entire planet is one man's imagination.. Cameron proves again that he is far ahead of the competition.. Super flick.. a must watch on IMAX..

I watched avtar in 2D yesterday in cinemax gandhinagar, the thing I like there is SEATS only... I paid 150/- and got MAHARAJA SEAT ...and nothing more than that.... movie was really not so good to give 5* rating.... anybody means any diresctor can make such special effects by giving money to techies and seating in a room... in short THERE ARE ONLY SPECIAL EFFECTS IN MOVIE... I was expecting more from Mr Cameroon....
