He had to do that. No one could survive in Karnataka except Rajkumar and his mafia family.
All Kannada actors have done superbly outside (Prakash Rai).

dear thalaiva , wish you a happy birth day. ur the undisputed king of any south indian cinema till date , no one has achieved what u have in the past and present. we feel proud of u . Endhiran will surely be a landmark in indian cinema. even today none of the south indian movies has touched the box office records created by chandramukhi or sivaji. some media people in tamil nadu write nonsense about him , cause they cannot digest his popularity at the same time they cannot survvie without his news.
