although its a copy of an english movie which is made more on a serious note, where the protagonist dies in the end fighting, rocket singh the movie is made more on a comical note and hopes and aspirations.
But even if some part is copied, I cannot take away the credit of the movie. I always used to think why these kinds of movies cannot be made in India. When I had watched the original movie some 6 years back even I was moved at that time and it made me move again.
Its basically another Munna Bhai MBBS type of a movie!!!
Excellent performance by all starcast, they all looked real
I liked it and will give 4 out of 5 to this movie. Must watch. Hats-off to Ranbeer for performing this character so well and spontaneously. Others were also good. Ranbeer kept real beard and wore real turban to live upto the real character. Story was tastefully good and expect filmmakers to bring such more movies in future. -Rajbinder Singh
As i am in sales and marketing... each scene.. each diagloue of this movie... were very close to my experiences.. i could relate to my real life instances.. I did not even realize how a 3 hrs movie went by.. at the end i had something to take home.. and belive me, i am serious at what i have taken home... "I am setting up my own business"... wish me luck guys...
I don’t know about entrainment qualities of the movie but there was one good message in the movie which caught my attention.
A boss who has learned hard and painful lessons in life to get ahead, teaches his new recruit “ To reach the top, you have to put your feets on other shoulders and they will not let you do it so easily, they will bite your feets and try to pull you down as you go up”.
But is there any other way to reach the top without aggressively and unnecessarily hurting and cheating others and killing your own conscious. I think there is!!
Just evolve wings and fly! If you can still partially agree and empathise with multiple point of views about same thing and can find a middle/balancing path between all those opposing ideas, and still manage to survive that means you are still flying.
If you are on the ground, you can only see either your home or either your office, but from the sky you can see both at the same time and hence can try to compare/balance both views.
If people are able to make profit and survive in the market without completely killing their own ethics and morals that means they are already on the top, they have learned to balance. Even if I am in the business of selling bottled water, I will still provide free water in case of a genuine emergency before my eyes and try to help needy without getting myself bankrupt in the process.

By flying, I mean gaining knowledge from multiple sources, multiple perspectives and multiple experiences and reaching your own definition of truth and life. If world is like a school then before becoming teacher you have to be student of the school first and try to learn from whatever it got to teach you and reach your own conclusions. Before agreeing/disagreeing on something think/research about it thoroughly. Brain is like a filter so use it, drink the tea and throw the tea leaves away or you will suffer from indigestion.
Although we all live in the same plane of existence, but people have different world views and understanding of truth, according to their level of knowledge, upbringing and life experiences. For a rat, world end at the river because he cannot see other side of the river from the ground, for a monkey world end at the Sea because he cannot see other side of the sea from the tree. A bird flying high in the sky can observe the curvature of earth and may understand that its spherical and thus conclude “What’s goes around, comes around!!”
Ok Now when you see this movie I am sure it will remind you of your days when you just passed out and joined your first job.And especially if you just scraped through your exams with dying colours! So this is a story about Ranbir who manages to pass his Commerce exams with 38 % marks. Then unlike his ambitios peers who are trying for MBA he decides that he would want to become a salesman. He goes for his first interview and manaegs to get in.The office is full of politics ,bitching, etc.And needless to say he is ragged by his colleagues. He goes to a client visit on the field but disagrees to be corrupt and dishonest. On top of that files a formal complaint on his own company's letterhead. As a punishment he is barred from going on field visits from now on and has to do the job of a cold telemarkerter. But secretly he gets a client visit and manages to go there to find his lady love, whom he sells the computer .And now decides to start up his own parallel computer sales company. He manages to rope in 4 of his colleagues who are partners and carry out the business during office hours using office infrastructure. The small company is succesfull and gives a run for money to the origianal company. The Big Boss manages to catch them 7 buys out his small comapny called Rocket Sales Corp(interestingly named as poor ranbir was ragged by his colleagues by also throwing papaerplanes when he was doing his work). But the boss fails to repeat the success of RS Corp.Only to give the company back to hi
Its a good tele-film which can be seen on television on week end. Nothing in the film for which one should go to multiplex and watch it there. The film is already one of the biggest flop of the year as per trade news.
