I remember reading somewhere long back that Yesudas went for a job interview for the post of radio announcer at All India Radio, Trivandrum in his early days but was sent back because his sound was not good! Probably as a penalty, AIR has been playing his songs for all these years!

All Indian Radio was right his sound is very monotonous no variety!! can sing only a particular type of songs..also in high pitchs (especially after 30 kattais)his sound lacks depth & become nasal and after mid 90's a kind of shivering also visible in his voice!!!That's he couldn't become a No.1 singer in any other language apart from Malayalam.

he even if u do know music,u have no right to criticize one of indias greatest living legend. go and hear his songs. take any language for that matter. ask grt peoples like hariharan, shankar mahadevan and name any, then u know what highest regards that they have for this genius. remember he dominated malayalam, tamil and kannada easily for 20 years. and with whatever pitching and things u say, oh man it is very silly of u to comment on a legend.

He is got National Award in 3-4 languages..and a total of 9 times..let someone get that far..then start criticising Yesudas

Oh is it. People need to learn art of singing from you.Please talk with facts when you talk. He got 7 national awards which also includes Hindi. He is a genius in Carnatic music. Do you mean to say carnatic music lacks variety.Common my friend,do not be so naive.No one needs to be a no.1 singer in every language to prove they are legends. Please be sensible while writing about such genius.

I am reading this junk message today only..I need to respond - If you don't have any knowledge on Malaylam music and its great singers just keep your mouth shut.
