I see here many people from south showing their some sort of complex and as usuaal south north mentallity instead of accepting the truth.
Anyone who has really seen Paa can say one truth loud and clear that Amitabh's performance in Paa is the best ever performance by any Indian actor so far. It is plainly uncomparable...and so the movie is. Range of so many emotions of a child with a prosthetic makeup which does not allows much facial changes...still Amitabh achieves the height...it is not less than impossible act what Amitabh has achieved and had put as an open challenge for the rest of the actors.

Nair I can smell regional favoritism in your statement as you belong to Kerala and that why you call Mohanlal as a better. The same for Kamal Hassan who is also associated to Kerala. World knows what Amitabh has done ..Mohanlal can't achieve that variety and versatility. Its Amitabh modesty to call Mohallal the best actor as unlike these actors its only Amitabh who has shown gutts to visit all regions of Indian cinema and give them due respect. About Kamal Hassan...he is a better dancer than Amitabh but not actor. Kamal is specialist of tragedy but not a complete actor. These days relying heavily on prosthetics and shock factors more than acting. In bollywood he shared screen with Amitabh in was outshined by latter.
I say, instead of being regional, why don't you accept the truth with the heart of being genuine Indian???? Amitabh is Ganges and rest are regional rivers and their fans only show that.

Paa is out an out an example of finest performance possible. Appu Raja was not about a kid but a dawrf man. Half Ticket was over-acting.
Abhishek's constant diatribe against the media is exaggerated and out of context, --- Sukanya's this observation is unwarranted for as Abhishek's character is also important in the movie. It showed how he faced up to accepting Auro as his illeg. child in front of the world. May be Sukanya being a media person could not accept the drubbing the corrupt media persons got. It's all true sukanya..and media is also one of the most corrupt institutions. All said -- PA is an excellent classic movie in terms of direction,story,dialogues and acting. sorry no action or oomph.

When BBC conducted poll for the SUperStar of the Millenium, Amitabh Bacahhan won hands down keeping even the great Sir Charles Chaplin in second position and MArlon Brando in 3rd.
This is the might and position he has in the places of people not only in India but around the world.
Do you think this has been achived just standing under the sun???
Stop the regional bias man.
Grow up, watch the kind of film he has worked in.
the variety of roles he has portrayed, get to know his dedication, his sincerity towards films.
Ask any film amker he has worked with, and he will say that Mr. Bachhan is the most dedicated, most punctual actor.
This is his greatess, that he has always acknowledged tghe likes of Mohanlal, Mammotty and Kaman hassan. Only a great person can do that.
I am sorry to say that the otehrs have not reciprocated, showing clearly that they suffer from regional bias and ego and complex.
I guess you haven't seen or you don't understand cinema to acknowledge that Amitabh is indeed the greatest and more importantly thr most complete actor this coutry has and will ever produce.
In individual genres, there might be better people, but a complete actor, entertainer, superstar, to match his calibre, i guess there is none PERIOD.
