Kamal & Mohanlal, both being very good actors are limited to their states. They are more like southern super stars since their appeal is limited.
me too :( : (...it is all about rediff which is posting incorrect reviews... please be honest about reviews since it is attached with poeple's money and time..
Having seen Paa i can safely say that my belief in Mr Amitabh Bachchan as a veteran and legend of acting is firmly in place. What people don't seem to realise is that it is extremely difficult for actors wearing prosthetic makeup to give memorable performances. Because people tend to focus more on the make up than the performance. When you see Auro, you don't see Mr Bachchan, you see an entirely new character. To be able to achieve that is the hallmark of a truly great actor.
I see a lot of discussion on comparisons between Mr kamal Haasan, Mohanlal & Mr Bachchan. Come on guys, you're talking about people who have accomplished such greatness in movies that it is futile to attempt a comparison. The biggest leverage Mr Bachchan enjoys is that he is a part og the Hindi Film Industry and hence enjoys a wider platform. Having said that, Kamal Haasan had innumerable opportunities in the 80's and also enjoyed a fair amount of success in the Hindi film industry but couldn't capitalise on it. Mr Mohanlal is nothing short of being an Icon down south. But one cannot deny the charisma that a star like Mr Bachchan possesses. To practically rule the Hindi film industry for 30 years and still deliver a performance like he did in Paa, cannot be ignored. Let's not forget guys, he's 65 and the energy that he's put into the character of Auro is truly remarkable.
Be fair guys. Give credit where its due. 3 cheers for Mr Bachchan & Auro. Welcome back to quality performances. We missed you
