by Nishant on Dec 09, 2009 05:16 AM  | Hide replies

Haven't seen Paa, but last night watched a movie "Jack" which seems like the inspiration for "Paa".

Nishant, why do you comment without watching the movie? See the movie first and then make comparisons as to whether they are remakes or adaptations.

My comment was more of a query. To reword "Is Jack the inspiration for Paa?" . Thanks for the advice though.

jack is mahabakwaas movie and bad acting by williams........there is no connection between them at all and hence to say that paa is inspired by it is a joke....some srk fanatcs are showing their frstration right since the paa promos are out...someone says it is a copy of benjamin button while others say jack...u belong to later category....to compare jack with paa is an insult to the movie paa....

Hey Krishna, take it easy. Firstly, I thought "Jack" might be the inspiration behind "Paa" as majority of hindi movies are either derived from Hollywood or Korean movies. If you say there's no connection, then I would be more than glad, as I did not like "Jack". Will watch "Paa" this weekend.
Secondly, being inspired by a foreign movie is no sin, however credit must be given where its due (if at all its due...take the case of Hitch & Partner for ex).
Thirdly, you are right in saying its not a copy of Benjamin Button but your SRK point is...out of context.

nishant i think 99% movie is remake of hollywood movie.
but u seen the performance of the indian's in hindi movie.
Black is also remake of hollywood but the performance of Bib B was amazing in that movie.so he got the National Award for that. And he'll also get another National Award for Paa.
I think ssrrkkkkk couldn't get any national award for his upcoming career.

Only for those who didnt like DDD

For people who like to see serious boring melodramas, and definitely those who couldnt understand the funny side of DDD should watch this film. In short only for self proclaimed 'film intelectuals'. You should seriously think of joining the rediff board of film critics

Ruchir, you and your family need treatment. See some pakistani doctor with name SRK, I am sure you will feel better.

Use your original name on the forum at least.
