I don't know why these Northies have no clue about south india, movie, culture. But they are very close to pakistan and when they see a pakistani, start talking in hindi as if they are friends. BTW, i do know hindi. I went to CBSE. But one friend, she is from Delhi, when i said im from chennai but i am malayale. She was like..i dont know that tamulu or telugue. But when there is a pakistani, she is talking like as she was waiting to meet in the border!

It is as hurtful as i call you tamilian instead of telgu or malayale..which you are, yourself, not sure of. The Hindi in usage in India is nothing but urdu. Just pay attention to the vocabulary!

And Hindi is not Urdu...but Sanskrit. No body can deny that Sanskrit is the mother of almost all (xcept tamil)indian languages. Sanskrit script is written in Devnagary. So is Hindi. No other language use directly devnagary as Hindi does. So, that's our national language. being a Bengali, which is literary much richer than Hindi, we have to make our mind that hindi is NL. there should not ne any problem to learn hindi, by not forgetting/neglecting your/our own mother tongue.So stay peacefully. And urdu is also mix of Sanskrit and Arabic. Scripts are entirely different. But sounds sweet.That does not mean this Bengali is a nearer to pakistani.Don't generalize every thing as per your short brain.

Don't quarrel. here, pakistani people may see our friendship!!! Rather think in proper direction. As noth indians are accused of this manner, so is south indians. Most of the NI students don't have clear idea that in south india there are 4 different culture are there. for them, all are 'south indian'. And for SIs rest of india is 'Northies'!! though East part is having distinct feature, West is so. There are many dialect, different culture in Noth also. all are not Hindies :)both are rich in culture.

i seen paa , its AB;s best performance after black BUT i have seen lot of Kamal hasan , mohan lal films also unlike u. So i can clearly tell AB still not in that level of Kamal or mohan lal

pradeep, you are making very distasteful comments. its a sad reflection on your thinking. by the way amitabh has won 2 national awards also. agneepath and black. by the way i am a big fan of mohan lal. he is a superb actor. kamal hassan is also excellent. i dont like mamoothy at all. but none of them are in the same league as amitabh. this is an indisputable fact. just like in music composition there is AR Rehman, in singing Kishore kumar, similarly in acting there is AB.

If some one apart from Balki would have made the movie & also if the movie had music composed by some else,then there wont be such idiotic comments & no compairisons with 3 south oldies. Instead of appreciating AB's Work,these people are cribing about who should have done the role & who shouldnt have,cant think all the actors are great & internally they appreciate each other's work always.

awards mean nothing mr nair. popularity among various REGIONS is what that matters and that is what ur mamoolee, kamEL or mohan red will never achieve globally. they r regional stars. and they r given national awards so that the regional industries doesnt get closed down. and they dont come to pollute hindi film industry with such beautiful and charismatic ppl. the actors in hindi film industry dont look like conductors or truck drivers. and b4 mentioning big B, who is the superstar of the millenium, u need to wash ur hands with ur own P, u m0r0n.

Can we stop commenting uselessly trying to limit movies as North/ South or bind it in region/ religion etc. Please comment on merits of a movie.
Tare Zameen Par was great movie. Take out that kid and see, Amir was not the soul of that film. Similarly, other movies. All need to be commented based on story, acting, direction and music.
I watched Paa and its a brilliant movie. There were no action, no wet scenes but when you talk about Amitabh, he has done wonders along with Vidya and GrandMa. Bring me any actor in their 60s or 70s who has done something like that. Do you have one?
For the haters of Bacchhan's just one message, come and talk about their fav actors on this forum when they reach 60 . Till that time, they better shut their mouth.
AB is encyclopedia of acting. Anything said or written against him actually shows the mental state of people commenting negatively about him.
There was none like him, there won't be any like him.

Lalit, your blind utterances prove one thing that you are blind to everyone else except Amitabh Bachchan. True Paa (I haven't seen it) might be a good movie and this might be one of Amitabh's better performances till date. He has done some good movies before also. No doubt he is a good actor too.
But your comment that others should reach 60 before they are spoken about is in poor taste and is a blind comment to say the least. To put your argument in mathematical perspective, it also means that others should not just be 60 (67 years old to be exact because Amitabh is 67) but they also should have entered the film industry at almost the same age/time as him. Because otherwise, considering the wealth of cinematic experience that Kamal has, remember he started out at the age of 3 or 5, and like Neetu Singh in Hindi, Sridevi also started as a child actor when she was 6-10 years old. Based on this, the experience of Amitabh is nothing before at least Kamal (I dunno much about Mohan Lal or Mammotty but I regard them as better actors than Amitabh) Forget just Kamal, it will be worthwhile for Big B. to have the same range and depth in acting like Hindi films' own Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, leave alone Sanjeev and Dilip Kumars. If you know something about cinema, there is something we know too. It is also fashionable to call Asha or Lata the best singers not knowing well that singers in the South sing minimum in four languages at a time. Now who's great (or greater)?

if they say it was for projeria, they will disqualify this movie... the main motive of the movie was to show indian politics. looks like the director was totally confused... no he is actually totally confused.
saw the movie.not a classic movie. not a great movie as well. its not bad. thats all. in a way narrated well.some good jokes. Amithab is good. u cannot say he is excellent. but nice. Thats all. I can only give 2.5/5
