Luk again at hilary's childhood as her house ws a trailer park(nicer verson of slums in india). Whn she moved to l.a she nd her mom's house ws in their car until things picked up for them. So she has similar childhood like the slum kids, but in u.s they don't treat their slums like in india.
Bt otherwise, living at a trailer park and out of a car is living in poverty for u.s standards.
If Meera Nair has stayed true and vaulted over the screenplay of AMELIA and extracted "period" from the costumes dept and from her v v v talented actors, there is no doubt there will b awards buzz surrounding the movie. And this is Mira Nair's big-budget attempt at telling a v "American" story -- Good Luck, Mira Nair and luv ya luv ya luv ya Hilary Swank !!
