In malayalam Raja manikyam (character nick name was bellari raja ),It was a great attempt by mammootty.As he was called as not-good-for-comedy ,he simply rocked in this movie and any one couldnt stop laughing in theater.And ther wer some sentimental scenes,I belive NO ONE can reach near to him in that scenes....even emitating is also not possible..
Anyway All the best to the kannada version...it will be a nice movie to watch ( if the hero have good potential.)

Doctorate is usually given to the film personalities which are based on their contribution to the film industries.but apart from filmy business Vishnuvardhan has his own hospital called Harsha Hospital in Mysore, where patients with poor financial background will be treated with concessional fees. Even you can find more doctrs in other film industries in india are Dr.kamal. Dr.vijay(TN) Dr.amitabh, Dr.sharuk(!?)etc..

This is the first time I'm hearing that if someone owns a hospital then that person becomes a Doctor.
That is weird. Although, most times it is usually a Senior Doctor or surgeon who starts the business. So they already have Medicine degree before they start the hospital business.
If Vishnuvardhana wants to put Dr, Mr, Mrs etc I don't care, but he needs to understand there is only one king/tiger in the movie industry Dr. Raj Kumar, no one can take his place. Go tell your Vishunvardhana to lay low and clean the hospital floor

I think you are not a kannadiga but a big Kongati hajama.Only kongati, kamnaati, kaatpadis think like that.The doctorate was given by the univ. for his contribution to the film industry as well as his social service.I know how many crap actors from your film industry got doctorates. We are eagerly waiting to watch "Bellary Naga"of our anna Dr.Vishnuvardhan starrer. Now a days his films are releasing very late(Even after completing the shooting)this is so sad and rediculous to wait for our anna's movie like that.We love Dr.Vishnu forever. One thing i want to clear everyone is that,Dr.vishnu is a "phoenix"of our kannada film industry and the evergreen superstar will come back with a huge hit in future definitely. Dr. Vishnu, no doubt is a very talented guy.But his talents and oppurtunity were totally curtailed by Dr.Raj family.Though Dr.raj is an Innocent good person and can say Godman but his wife parvathamma is doing too much politics. Any way good luck to Saahasa Simha
