Instead of showing his anger, Mr. Khan must realise why people of the world (other then muslim) do not beleave them and what makes America taking so harse step. He must feel shame of his religion.

This is really funny when Emraan Hasmi has a problem in getting a house/flat he comes in media saying just becoz he is a muslim this is done, when Azharuddin was sacked and he comments he is a muslim, when Sharuk is detained he says becos he is a muslim. When Antulay the great minister was caught for his atrocious remarks he says just becoz he is a muslim This is a sort of nonsense. And I appreciate the non bias stature of American security they dont care who the hell you are rule is common for all. Definitely this gentleman might have argued there this is one thing where you cannot get away with in USA. We are unnecessary giving so much credence more then Kalam incident to this so called King Khan. He might be a king here in India for some people but in USA a ordinary passenger.

its not a question abt VVIP or VIP..point is he was detained for 2 hrs without doing anything wrong..and it tool 2 hrs to recognize him...this is faulty US immigration check system introduced after 9x11

First check facts its more like 66 minutes and u shud be thankful to newark officials for stating evrything abt srk nd his documents ar correct. Only his bags need to be checked. Bags did not arrive in time, nd thts vry obvious nd problem of the airline tht he departed frm b.f comin to new jersey.
This is the whole delay nd mst of all othr passngers wer ther ahead of srk, nd evry1 needs to be attended so 66 minutes is definitely nt a long time compared to bollywood movies tht torture us.
Detained, ar u living in mars. If ur talking about detained, detention go take up the cause of terrorists in Guantanamo bay nd also salman khan or sanjay dutt who always ar followed by cops.
I don't think u won't make a hue nd cry abt indian police constantly arresting, bailing out, arresting, bailing out salman khan nd sanjay dutt. Bt u make hue nd cry for waiting in line evry 1 else, and blame u.s immigration nd check system.
Must be blind, unlike india who's dennis the menace is right there in your neighboring country nd still no strict laws. Unbelievable, tht u.s preventing post 9/11 attacks frm india's neighboring country far away from india itself and india itself can't protect themselvs.
Evn for a simple thing as bag replacemnt incase of damage at u.s airports, i had to wait in line w.just 4 pepul includin me for almost an hour to clarify the length of damages nd so on. Luckily, srk's bag ws not damaged or he wud by cryin foul for puposly damagin his bag b.c of his name.

Fact is, the immigration officers thought SRK was some rag picker trying to make a living in the US.

well Gump, we cant blame the immigration officers if they thought SRK was a third world beggar, right?

In US its a practice, we cant blame them, its their policy on the secuirity. Why should we to concern on it? U see, they r very vigilant hence the 9/11 din't repeat there. Good minded people to understand the thought behind it. When one try to oppose, not to blame that if guessing 'fishy"

Even in USA the VVIPs also have to go on security belt. Even the ex Presidents are not spared. So what wrong in it ?
Re: Re: Re: SRK not a VVIP

it is wrong....why are indian cricket players fighting over WADA clauses? other players have gone through it too...just cos someone endures this without protest dosen't mean Indians have to keep quiet too...let us atleast lead in one particular activity and show by example.

Everyone may have different opinions on this subject. Naturally, you will be having. Now if you think that this is totally wrong, then raise your voice with whole heartly, even a ordinary single innocent person has to go through this type of procedure. When Kalam had to face, then no such noise was heard. If SRK is faced, then there will be only noise, then it is not good and wise. There should not be difference between person to person. Good is good, and bad is bad. No discrimination please.
Mr.Abdul Kalam harrassed by continental airways at Delhi airport & not many people raised voice against,so why now? SRK is not important then Mr.Kalam.
Re: Re: Re: Ex-President harrassed in India
by Forrest Gump on Aug 17, 2009 03:38 PM
who are u to say what we need and what we don't? the fact that SRK is so popular shows Indians want him to be the best.

Osama is more popular than Saduk...sure there must be a link between the two!!
I think too much of noise is made against detention at Newark airport Mr. Khan! Recently one of my friend, and many people known to him have been questioned at Newark airport for verification and detained for more than an hour when they visited their children, there was delay because of crowd as well as of insufficient senior officers! While he does not know the logic behind picking up the people for detailed questioning, it is their procedure, Unlike India where VIP can get away even doing illegal things.
Recent incident of one minister using cell phone in flight is also an example. Remember daughter of Mr. BUSH was jailed for a day for visiting pub as a teenager!! Law is same in US for all! So let us not sensationalize the issue.

No one knows what had happened that day..... Actually the officers which frisked SRK has seen the movies Badshah; they thought that he is a spy .

Gump, SRK popular all over the world? :-) Then tell us why he was detained. Tell us why no one at the airport failed to recognize him.
He might be a media-made star in India but is nobody in an international platform.
Re: Re: Re: k..k..k..khan
by Forrest Gump on Aug 17, 2009 03:39 PM
he is more popular than all other indian actors...many immigration officers recognized him too but one particular office refused to let him go...first read news properly.

FG I am very much sure that u must be living in Badlapur or Ambarnat as u don't know anything about any person....not a single immigration office identified him....coz they were US officeer....hehehehehehehe also he was detained coz to cross check his activites... hehehehehehe
Why this news at all, who wants to read, after all what is he. Every one has some fans locally, nationally, internationally. If rule need to be frisked why the fuss. Sanjay Dutt can go to jail, why not Sharukh Khan. When APJ - VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV I P has no objection of frisking why this joker. NO NO NO, HE HAS TO FRISKED, IF FOUND GUILTY OF ANY THING HE TOO HAS TO GO TO JAIL. Media should shut their mouth as this is not a news to be published, there are many burning issues for country to be looked into

SRK used to go to Sharjha(Dubai) to cheer Pakistan team with green flag against Indian team.
