Kudos to US authorities
by Cool Mahesh on Aug 16, 2009 05:47 PM

Kudos to US authorities for detaining SRK. Our filmstars think they are above the law and jump security checks in India. SRK forgot that he is in US where everybody is treated the same. SRK is crying foul because he is used to VVIP treatment at home.

Checking Shahrukh
by Milind Apte on Aug 16, 2009 05:41 PM

Please SRK!Don't fool your Indian fans atleast over this issue by saying that you were checked only because you had Khan in your name!Simply because there are so many Khans entering and exiting US on daily basis! The problem is that in India people like you get used to receipt of"special VIP treatment"which includes bypassing security checks...etc etc long list!!!But when in country US when everybody is treated in same way before law the problem starts for "Indian VIPs" like you!!In fact being a good Indian citizen, after coming back to India you should suggest that same template should be implemented at airports in India also so that all "Khans" coming to India from across the border could be checked well in time before they can take innocent Indian lives! And be careful before blaming US officials when they are legally correct, because if they drag you to court for defaming them then it may prove to be too heavy for you to bear!!

Ambika Soni outburst against USA
by rajesh on Aug 16, 2009 05:32 PM  | Hide replies

Do you know something? Indians are regularly frisked / checked / detained and humilated at most of the airports in Gulf countries. Does the Indian government care about it. Have they uttered a word against it. Indian Embassy do not even help these poor people. US has clearly defined human rights unlike Muslim countries where intolerence, prejudice and opression continues in the name of religion

I have been in the Gulf for the past 15 years. I never faced such a problem as you pointed out. Even other passengers were also not experiencing any such difficulties. I am talking about UAE, Doha and Sultanate of Oman. I dont know about other places.

SRK would not have made such a big hue & cry if he was detained & frisked by some Islamic country.

American security alert to catch terrorist-mistaken Idendity
by Shankar Kumar on Aug 16, 2009 05:31 PM

Shahrukh named terrorist also exists -American security alert
by Shankar Kumar on Aug 16, 2009 05:16 PM | Hide replies

A terrorist by name shahrukh was absconding. So the american security were alert unlike our security which allows the terrorists to escape.Shahukh khan was an unfortunate case of mistaken idendity

Among the names that cropped up after the recent arrests of the alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) modules was Shahrukh and Riyaz Bhatkal. Shahrukh is alleged to have supplied the explosives for the recent serial blasts across the country, while Bhatkal is suspected to have “masterminded” the blasts along with Atif Ameen, Mohammad Sadiq and Amir Reza Khan. Now, investigating agencies suspect that both Shahrukh and Bhatkal may be the same person.

Sources said that since his name was linked to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Bhatkal may have used the name Shahrukh to protect his identity.
nvestigating officials point out that both Bhatkal and Shahrukh are linked to Karnataka. Shahrukh is reported to have sourced the explosives for the Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Uttar Pradesh blasts from Karnataka. Bhatkal, who is reported to be a founder member of IM, is originally a resident of Karnataka and has a good network there.

No need to make a hype
by pradeep joshi on Aug 16, 2009 05:28 PM

there are lot of things to be dealt and dicussed like Swine flu, draught, recession, increase in the commodity prices, tackling terrorism...
SRK dont have to open his Minority or raciasl abuse card to get more publicity...

So no need to create hype for this SRK/Airport news... it seems that was normal routine check which US ppl do to any person...
