To me this costume and manerisms appear to have close resemblence to Mexican culture. Anyways as you pointed out, it is a sick outdated attempt in boxoffice.

We can spoof if something is good. Hindi films are themselves spoof. No sane guy will take them seriously. SRK, the guy is a pure unadulterated joker. Somebody say act and he will make his face like while in a dysentry. Something, intended to laugh when crying or some clap.
If we cannot laugh at ourselves, we leave the job to others. Only matured society confident of its capabilities can make a soiif on themselves. Not like Bollywood jokers.
