you should watch this soap opera sometime. you will realised that image of india is not shown very good. indian society is shown as old cultured & conservative. my brazilian friends asks me , why there is no driving sense in India... what is dalit .. do u need to take parents permission for getting marriagge ? They learned all this thru this soap opera

Do you think anyone has any traffic sense in India? Dont you know there is reservation in India for Dalits, Don't you know who all of your batchmates are dalit? Doesn't the caste system still exist in India, though differently in metros (as being jealous of people who got admissions but others could not) and villages (dalit murders, untouchability etc)? How many of the people are there who would not ask/tell their parents whom are they going to marry? Even if it is love marriage, still first attempt of the couple is to see if the families are parents can be brought together...!! Whatever your friend said, tell me a single thing which does not exist right now in India? India is what it is, accept it with grace if you want to live in India. I have seen scores of people (NRIs) in US including myself who constantly keep remembering India....!!!

i know all this facts mate. what i was trying to say is that we shud not be overhappy or feel great about brazilian's having indian theme for soap opera.

Doesn't matter dear. Infact it is good people are coming to know about India, good or bad whatever is India...!!! You know when in US, I always used to think, why don't they have Indian Style Aloo Tikki burgers in their joints? They have burgers, they have hash browns which is very very similar to Aloo Tikki, then why just they dont combine it and sell it? It will be very good for vegetarians like me. But the point is there is not much Indian influence there. That will happen only when people come to know more about India, its culture etc. So infact it is good that people are now taking interest in showing India. It shows that India matters....!!!
all schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, resturants, circus etc must be shut down immediately. government of india must circulate an advisory to indians not to travel except in emergency.
