mumbai is just another market . no hell will break loose if the movie is not released for a week.
If we can some how decentralise Hindi movies from Mumbai it will do a lot of good for Indian society. Reasons : (1) Mumbai is now a dead city. Whatever it creat now will only invite dark side of realities, be it politics, industry, culture or humanity. (2) All best talent of vocal and visual art from all over India has assembled in Mumbai for some time, i.e., say from last 58 years, has reached saturation. Fresh inputs are only repeatation of old inputs with rotten concept. (3) Since Mumbai has become a true 'Paap Nagari' in collaboration with underground activities supported by selfish social/political/economical interest, it is now suppose to generate negative wave, be it right or left. Same will influence all film produced or had conception from Mumbai. Hence we see films released, or co-sponsered or promoted from Mumbai are either anti- fact or anti- usefullness. (4) Finally, I am now drunk and not able to think more pucca reasons. Finally, try to enjoy all hindi films produced from Mumbai with a pinch of mango pickle and fresh 'tadi' from Kerala if you can. Or else 'teri to----'
Go to any hall in Mumbai, you can get a paid-preview ticket of Kaminey for Thursday - 13th August. You can see it before India, one small catch - if you spend three hours in an AC hall with H1N1 patients - you are sure to get it before the movie is over....yourself.
friday there are no movie releases as the scare of swine flu.....friday is dahi handi which is going to get significantly larger crowds of people....so is the handi going to be broken or is that shifted to next week and then Ganpati bapa will also have to come later....where is the rationale among these babus who are making these decisions and passing these ridiculous diktats .....
