remember tony scott's 'enemy of the state'? will smith accidentaly gets into the thick of a high-level conspiracy (a CD with the footage of the crime), the whole machinery gets into action, he's traced, followed, stalked - until he bumps into gene hackman, who tells him the tale. and then, the climax - where two rival parties are made to arrive at the same time, same place. Crossfire ensues, bad guys die, good guys come out clean.
And now, thre's 'Kaminey'. No doubt wonderfully shot and all. But I'm surprised no one saw this obvious rip-off! Charlie Shahid gets into things accidentally, makes a choice to take a 'shorter short cut', chaos ensues, sibling rivalry gives way some smart tactics, bad guys are made to meet at same time, same place. crossfire. ditto ending. not that 'EOTS' was some great sense making mivie. It obviously went over-the-top with the satellite traking and all. But so does 'K'.
And by the way, if so many people are getting to realize that the film is hot with a hand-held cam, superb cinematography, slick editing, and all, sorry guys, but that's bad news for the film! We're getting to observe all that. Sorrily because the story is no big guns. 'enemy of the state' meets thousands of movies with 'the case of mistaken identity.'

Had a lot of expectations from this movie but it was a tension giver.Full movie could not understand what is exactly going on.Went to see bcoz of the music also...good music...looked like that the movie end was made without any planning...full chaos and the end was a nautanki....could have become a better movie as acting, direction, music all elements are good..1 time watch...depends on your liking...I would give a 2 1/2 stars...

There is nothing better to describe this movie than the above update.
To add to your comments, I'm still at a loss why this movie was named "Kaminey". Charlie's character wasn't anything special in comparison to other chars. So why his name is picked to name the movie? Something is wrong with people. It looks like people are afraid to let the emperor know there is no clothes on him.
this movie is amazing mixture of JG, Satya and Herapheri. Watch it. Btw, 4 and half is not worth. 3 and half or max. 4 is worth for it. P.S.: watch it in theater else miss the fun.
This reviewer has gone mad. This is an absolutely senseless, mindless movie....utter waste of time and money. I always felt like running away from the cinema hall...but only the hot weather outside and an effective AC kept me in. This movie does not deserve more than one star and I regret that I spent money on this Bullshit. Those who have not seen...please avoid it.
It looks like a serious version of movie "Hungama" when all other characters surrounding lead characters get to gether in the end and have fun.Very stupid end, though acting of shahid, priyanka, bhope, tashi and mikhail is good. Overall they could have done better in the end scene.
This summer's best and classic movies have been Up! and Kaminey.
Patil Bhau can call Kaminey trash or not, he has only 20% Marathis on his side to implore not to see the movie.
best supporting actor Chandan Sanyal, what an explosive job, 10 times better than Dobriyal in Delhi 6. Thus far this year only these two people seem to have impressed.

With this movie, Priyanka is slated to be best actress winner again.
And with Sanyal and Dobriyal's work, no leading actor has been close to their talent. So there should be no best actor award. Shahid's two roles could not match up to Sanyal's 10 minute routine.
Tashi was another very welcome face. This is show-casing by VB that there are huge talents out there from across the country and elsewhere, and not to rely on the big names to deliver quality.
