Val Kilmer was sht in heat! got the role of a whiner througout! De Niro saved the movie. But its been so long, who cares anymore. The Pacino-De Niro duo couldn't even save a usually dependable investigation thriller like Righteous Kill. Pacino almost saved that one, though.

forgot to mention he always write his own screen play. one of the best director who is not getting enough credit for his work.
