Isaw the filim laste week.It is superb. As i expected a real sathyan filim.I wish i could work with him.If at all he is seing this my phone No in dubai 0097150-7841262
the message tried to convey in this film is appreciable... i wish it should have given a bit more importance.... there is a scene in the movie, when jayram tells to mammukoya on how to become a rich man...in reply mamukkoya deliver the dialogue...
which has the bulls eye answer to all citizens in our country....who is facing hella lot of pressure in their daily life of todays environment which includes high profile jobs, status, goin bak for the money....
they are all forgetting to live life....
.they are all human beings and need to cared and also are beings to give care..
the kind of homely feel it generates in the actors of nedumudi venu, venu nagavalli, kpac lalitha,mamukkoya.....etc bought the typical home inside feeling inside the cinema hall.
I saw the movie yesterday. It was housefull for second show and I went to the next B class theatre to watch it. To be honest I enjoyed each bit of the movie, from start to end. This movie conveys a clear message to all money mongers, who marry women, just for the sake of it--MONEY. This is such a bad custom which prevail even in the most literate society of the country. People speak against dowry and beg for dowry at the backdoors.
The scene in which Reji(Jayaram) realizes the real love which Daisy(Kaniha) had towards him, evokes such a feel that, after watching it, one would really make his mind against(?) the filthy custom of Dowry. An artwork becomes relevant, if it is able to turn, atleast one rock . There may be rocks which remain unturned, but if the director and his team is able to turn one man in the society against this filthy system, he can keep his heads high. No doubt, this movie will cover 100 days, in all major A class centres. Last, not but the least, seasoned actresses like KPAC Lalitha, Jayaram , Nedumudi Venu, Mamu Koya and Innocent has delivered the best, as usual. Narein and Kaniha also did justice to their roles. Altogether, it is a must watch movie, for any movie buff.
Malayalam cine fans are thrilled to welcome Sathyan Anthikad back, all his hits of the past are still pleasant memories. Good to have him with a movie again. Good review indeed by Paresh, congratulate rediff for presenting the review of a regional language film so fast... Good work Paresh, Good work rediff! My kudos to you and yr team,
Bhagyadevatha seems to be an extension of what went wrong with Innaththe Chinthavishayam. the whole the film fails to make the kind of impact you'd expect of a movie from the director.
There are flaws with the screenplay that affect the film as a whole. There is nothing new about the story. In fact there is nothing about the film that would require someone of the stature of Sathyan Anthicaud to create.
We'd want Sathyan Anthicaud to re-invent himself and make the kind of movies he'd been making earlier, movies that we'd like to watch over and over again
He really stands out among all the overrated directors in this country. Give him a decent story and a small budget, he will tell a story which people would enjoy watching. No scary stunts, no semi-clad heroines or dancing in the streets of Geneva. I hope other directors learn story telling from him rather than other so-called directors.
