Don't compare Mr.Aravind with Arundathi roy. She is like an Indian spy working for other. Arvind is someone who really wants to throw light and bring awareness to people. Take it positively and if you have guts try to take an action on those bad things rather than commenting useful writers like Arvind.

i am reading all the indian writers who won booker and i find white tiger is one of the best (midnight's children is best for me till date). It is a great sociological reflection of contemporary india about aspirations and longings of lower caste poor in so called 'dark india' in eastern india. 'shining india' or all that noise about BRIC nations ignores such indias of balram halwai completely. it may have helped few haves as millions in election affidavits of candidates would very shamelessly reveal (poorest have shown atleast 5 million ruppes). I think white tiger is an honest portrayal as it happens especially in delhi- bribery, prostitution, lobbying etc and truly deserved a booker (though i couldnt get to read other nominations). all that criticism of the book being on seamier side of our emerging economy is misplaced and shows a state of denial a kind Pakistan's administrators are showing presently when their country is literally going to dogs. i congratulate aravind on his great novel and being young we expect many more gems from him in future. all the very best to aravind. but do persist with your simple and lucid style.
