He had a penchant for good music which was evident in all his movies.

@Indian A Shakti Samanta was a rival of Yash Chopra and therefore was jealous of SRK. Apart from that there is no other reason to compare them. May Shakti rest in peace. But SRK is the A(asli) Indian. He is the benchmark for everyone else to follow. He dwarfs the entire Bachchan clan, plus AK, plus other Khanz plus Hrithik. I mean nowaday Yash CHopra has to lick SRK's feet to get some money in. RNBDJ was a hit because of SRK and nothing else.

i asked red.iff to change the word "dies" to "passes away" in my comment, and they have del-eated my comment. Red.iff, that's fine given your charecter, but at least you could have changed the title!
He was a great and most respected producer with a very long career. Rediff should have interviewed Devanand & Shammi Kapoor as well as Pran & Amin Sayanee who would have definetely contributed the Golden memories and greatness of Shaktida.

A film maker's personality is reflected in his movies; and Shakti Samantha ji's evergreen personality was evident in all the lovely movies he created which will live for eternity. Who can forget movies like Aradhana, Amar Prem & Kati Patang and all the others. May God grant his soul rest an eternal peace and a place in heaven.
