I agree with some others that Ali Abbas was a good singer, but the reality is that this is voting based contest. Why blame the winner in the end when the rules were setup right from the begining ?
harshdeep was indeed a very consistent singer, and has proved it till the end. Shame on those judges who tried to kill her confidence and mar her signing with pretty lop sided and biased comments since the day 1. With all due respect to Ila Arun ji, she was really after Harshdeep as she knew that she would give Folk gharana a run for he money.
In the end, I do think that Ali Abbas, Lakhvinder and to some extentAkbar Ali were very talented too, and I truely hate when good singers get thrown out for lack of popular votes, but Harshdeep deserves every bit of her success in Junoon, and I wish Harshdeep and all other contestants good luck !
Any one who listen the voice of Akbar Ali cant say Harshdeep could be the winner. Akbar ali is the best as he can sung anything clasical with so much much creativity of his voice. I cant beleive the Harshdeep is the winner..All reality show are fake when ever reach the final stage all disspointed when result decld...I am disspointed ..any one els?
No doubt Harshdeep is a good singer. But she wouldn't go the long way in Bollywood as her voice has limitations and her voice is lack of special kind of senstivity and versatilety.She may be successful in non filmi music.
Yes ultimately Himesh found her match. He found someone who can sing as badly as he himself does. You both make a good pair dear and people will love both nosal and split vocal cords of you.

i listened and watched every episode of Junoon.i believe you did not heard Ali Abbas/Akbar Ali and Mohd. Wakil or Richa. they were sufi singers of same zonal and everyone was perhaps better than harshdeep.
This show stood out for it's quality singers compared to anyother....infact the Sufi gharana had some amazing male singers too....the only avoidable feature of the show was Anu Kapoor who loved his voice over evrything else.
Ultimately the looks and religion prevailed over the talent and skill. Ali Abbas and Akbar Ali and not to forget richa were 100 times better than Harshdeep. Even Malini was by far better singer than HArshdeep but as it happneded in case of Ishmit same fate was repeated. Sikh community voted whole heartedly for HArshdeep as they usually do for their singers and Malini despite her immense talent and impeccable performances was runner up. Had organisers given Rahat fateh Ali khan some authority , he would have send HArshdeep packing long back. However one thing is definitely proved after this competetion that its always looks/Religions and region that matters when it come to selection of best singers.Some how i am not able to digest HArshpreet victory as it was only her looks which made her winner not her talent. I feel sorry for Malini/Ali Abbas and Akbar Ali may be now they know the bitter realities of this fabricated talent shows.

you seem to be some really flustered soul. While there could be some arguments on the voting pattern in reality shows, the way you are going about ranting is simply uncalled for.
Harshdeep is no less a singer and if you have cared to listen Ik Omkaar from Rang De Basanti, it should be enough to calm your ruffled ego. She has sung it so beautifully...!!!
Try and see positivity in life dear! If Malini is talented, no one can stop her from being at the very Top! These contests do not guarantee success..Look at what happened to Mohamed Vakil, Sanjeevani, Debojit and scores of others...

My dear if you hear shabd kirtan of Harmandir saheb you will find that there are many like harshdeep. I am not telling that she is a bad singer but why dont you accept the fact that she was the weakest performer in Sufi yet she remain unbeaten. Now tell me does the looks matter or not.

I have been listening to Shabad Kirtans ever since I was a kid..I do not really want to compare one with the other..
As for her being the weakest, I think it's fairly subjective. I, for one, definitely liked her voice. Malini was equally good but hey is winning a reality show equal to being bestowed with the crown of the Best Singer in Real life?
Both Malini and Harshdeep have their entire career in front of them and I am sure both will get equal opportunities. At the end of the day, it is aam janta again which will decide who is better.
She sung gracefully throught the competiotion.Excellent singer and more so disciplined that is what is necessary. Right from the day one I was voting for her and if there wasd any bet, I wd have won it. Congratulations to her and specially to her parents for developing their child to what she is today.
