Look at these.......
by Jupiter on Sep 23, 2008 03:50 PM

LOOK !!! at these ppl THEY ALWAYS WANT to STICK to HINDI or other movies!! Dont know what the HELL is wrong with them!

There are SO MANY EXCELLENT MOVIES in Kannada, these ppl never cared to look back!
I think we should go separately and nominate ourselves for oscars, if we someone did that AM SURE we will be back with OSACRS!!

Kannada movies should be screened all over India, every part of village!
It should be made compulsory to watch them! Then only they will understand our movies and the essence!

If Our Dr.Rajkumar was there we could have hold more and more oscars in our hands now!!

Ya, we know you will promote, we never asked you? Whole life you promote, that is the only thing you can do, not now, in your whole life.

He has to promote it because it is in the foreign film category and not many jury members have watched the film. What's wrong in that? is it a crime of any sort? He is the producer of the film and has every right to do whatever he wants with his film.

I don't think it will win a oscar.
by HBK on Sep 23, 2008 10:23 AM  | Hide replies

It's good that TZP is gone for oscars.heartiest congrats to Aamir. But i don't think it can be in top 5.Reason for it is the loud performances by other actors who were in the film.Professors in the schools,Ishaan's father. How come only Aamir is kind enough to the boy and others only shouts at him.I understand aamir was the person who had gone through that disease but i feel the performances of others were very much loud.

i dis-agree with your analysis. A lot of parents put undue pressure on their children and as a result we are hearing a lot about students creating suicides. This film was about letting the child explore his own mind space. i don't understand why we always want to pull people down who're doing something good for the country.

i have treated a cerebral palsy child myself and i know the king of treatment given to him by his family.he was kept alone, everyone shouted at him.one day the child told me, why cant i stay with my parents.the day i left,he told the family that he would like to stay with me coz i m the onlyone who likes him.certain things can not be changed,u have to except them like that.

You are correct dear, You understand abt film narration atleat. But then why our India media do not, how I wonder. Somehow, one Oscar is needed for us, right? Kya bolta hai tu? Aata hai Kya Oscar mein. .. Kya karoo aake mein Oscar mein... Gayange, Nachenge,Aur AAASH karenge, Aur Kaya? Kya bolta hai tu...?

India still has a long way to go!
by Fahad Khan on Sep 23, 2008 10:19 AM

Other international movies are really par excellence. Hence chances of winning and oscar by an indian movie are minimal. Nevertheless, TZP was a graet movie. Although India should learn to educate people to appreciate movies like Thora Pyar Thora Majic, Aaja Nachle and Jhonny Ghaddar.
