songs aside...
by slownewsday on Dec 16, 2008 10:38 AM

I'm surprised that there is almost no mention of the background score of the movie. A. R. Rahman has outdone himself; highlighting the emotions and ecstacies and tension throughout the movie. THe true mark of a composer is to be able to enhance the whole experience through music, and that's why he's been nominated for Golden Globe for best soundtrack - NOT for the 2 songs you cursorily mention.

Paes talks about his morning experience of watching cinema and not about the cinema. He should have mentioned that it is a adapation of vikas swarup's novel in the begenning itself(if he had known who vikas is)!!!

Based on a novel by an Indian author

To give credit where it is due, I think it should be noted that "Slumdog Millionaire" is based on the bestselling novel, "Q & A" by an Indian author, Vikas Swarup.

Thats what happens when one talks before thinking. In your case, types before thinking. Its always a good idea to go through an entire article before pilloring the writer for mistakes that he has "not" made.
