Guys, dont have to hear people gvg their foolish reviews. This is Diwali time ,and this film is just an entertainer where u can munch popcorns n have softdrinks while watching..i didnt find any fault in the movie..plz dont expect works of Mani Ratnam here..Raju Sundaram as a debutant Director has done a good job along with Ajith, who seems to be much fresh than ever seen before..Go for this movie n enjoy it rather finding out usless holes in it.... hope i am rite............ Happy Diwali
I saw Aegan in PVR in Bangalore.I expected more from Ajit and Aegan. But I was totally dissapointed.Ajith's acting is not at his best.Nayanthara simply a waste in this film.Worst songs.Lean story.Waste of time, waste of money.Overall the film is a big flop in Karnataka.
Guys, I did take great pains to squeeze into the first day first show in one of the best screens this movie got released - Sathyam. And let me tell you I am a very tolerant person who is definitely accomodative and highly appreciative of any hard work done on screen and having said that Aegan was definitely a let down. Am definitely pro-Ajit person myself but this is not how i would want to see Ajith portray a role. Thala has to be macho, suave and at his robust best and has to command and demand respect and dignity in the roles he plays. i dont expect a super cop to drool behind a professor and sing love songs on the coridoor upon seeing her and behaving like a college kid for real when he is out there on a mission. And everyone knows that he is ten years older and has come back to school and is not a real young guy. I agree if he does some of those silly acts especially his craze for Mallika to befriend the other kids to show he is ' one of them' - he really behaves that way. Even when he is alone at home he is so love stuck and in a dreamy world that does not suit his tough cop image that was portrayed earlier in the movie.
and the way he suddenly appears whenever the heroine is in danger looks extremely silly. i understand he is out there to protect her - if so he has to do it once the villains attack her or abduct her - not after they slap her or hit her or make her run around - if so where was he till then ? dreaming of Mallika ?

Come on man, are you hearing such titles for the first time? What do you think of Megastar for Mammooka then? And btw in case you didnt know nowadays tamil movies make much more money than even most of the mallu movies in Kerala, need i tell you why?

I don't know why you have a menon in your name.
Nevertheless, they make a lot more money than anyone else and that's my whole point.
The film makers of tamil and Hindi have been robbing the people of their money. So, I don't blame people, I blame the producers.
They have realized that their audiences are not intelligent like in kerala, where only sensible films do well. So, when you have such dumb audience, you churn out stinkers and yet make crores. Remember Dasavatharam and Sivaji? They could be awarded the worst big budget films ever!
It's unfortunate that some people call them as entertainers. What's entertaining about them, is a million dollar question.

Dont question me as to why I have a Menon in my name.I am more of a mallu than you.A true mallu is a tolerant & not a fanatic like you.BTW Sivaji & Dasavatharam did very well in Kerala too.So does that mean audience in Kerala also are dumb? You are the one who's dumb man- go take a break!!!

What gives you the right to ask why I have a Menon in my name?I am as much a mallu or even more than you.For your kind info I am not a pseudo mallu who glorifies other language cinema & ignores mallu cinema.I personally adore both Mammooty & Mohanlal and definitely agree that Malayalam cinema has always been on a higher pedestal. But my friend the standard of mallu cinema has been on the steady decline in the last few years. And thats the bitter truth. While I love everything about Kerala including malayalam cinema,I am a practical person.Because I love mallu cinema , I dont hate other language cinema like hindi, tamil etc. Each language has its own individual identities. There are so many good tamil & hindi movies which I'm sure you are not even aware off.And btw why do you have to say anything bad about Chennai or tamil filmstars?I am ashamed to consider you a mallu.A true mallu is someone who is tolerant of other languages & traditions. But not you- I pity you!!!

A typical asheshole mallu. cannot digest others getting popular. BY the way Ajith is a mallu, but still we like him. We give everyone equal chance to entertain us, unlike Mallu film industry where you have only Sakila,Mamoo00000000ty and Mohanlulll.
WE know how intelligent are your people. Being cunning doesn't amount to Intelligent.

another fanatic, who is under the assumption that 'big is beautiful'.
My dear friend, you may be one of those intelligent creatures living in T-Nagar Chennai, but a big percentage of Tamil Nadu is illiterate and this is not their fault. This is the fault of your politicians.
My point is, your producers are taking advantage of these people and churning out stinkers. I'm sure there's creativity in tamil people, but is dead among Tamil filmmakers. theyt hink, cheap special effects, makeups, gimmicks, foriegn locales and a lot of money wasted on sets is creativity.
One more thing. Popularity is not necessarily good. Even Shakila is popular like you mentioned!
Popularity of Rajni and Kamal are extremely superficial and they're driven by the fanaticism of you people. A Rajni wouldn't stand for a 'stand in' in a real film world and kamal wouldn't stand for a 'crowd'!

I can only pity you being ignorant of rajini's charisma and kamal's workmanship......Mohanlal can be a good actor but he can only be a damp squib in popularity before rajini and in acting kamal is miles ahead of him.....I can however appreciate the guts of mohanlal coz he has taken no efforts to reduce his belly which gets bigger and bigger, probably he thinks malayali audience are idiots...

Come on Rajivan....I agree with you, but in parts...The audience may be intelligent in Kerala...But are you still getting "intelligent" malayalam movies? Mohanlal occassionally comes up with a Thanmatra and Paradesi...But do you think "Photographer","Halo","Chotta Mumbai" and numerous other Mohanlal movies are intelligent? The same applies for Mammooty..."Ore Kadhal" was good...But to compensate for "Ore Kadhal", he has given lots of trashes recently...Lets not generalise that all Tamil films are bad and all Malayalam movies are brilliant...And please dont say that Kamal is not a crowd puller...He has given duds for sure, but that happens to any actor...He has an enviable box office record for you info..Mr.Menon

You said, vast majority of tamils are illiterate, sorry , i can't again help you. You people deserve to treated as Cunning Asshwoles. If you have time just google about Facts on TN.No state in India can outnumber the number of Educational institutions in TN.That speaks volumes about TN.
By desecrating Legendary Kamal, you just proved you are frog in well. I hope you better be there don't come out to TN for job and educational opportunities.

I believe that Mr. Rajivan Menon is more of fanatic and frustrated man who realised long lost golden era of Malayalam movies..
Well, allow me to explain few things.. In Malaysia, not even once we watched Malayalam movies in cinema.. Handful of good hindi movies and tamil movies creating waves here..
Even non-Indians in Malaysia (Malays and Chinese) do enjoy watching hindi and tamil movies..
Rather than degrading tamil movies, why not you put effort in improving malayalam movies for global interest..

"nowadays tamil movies make much more money than even most of the mallu movies in Kerala," man, this is true only when two things happen at the same time : 1. a hugely hyped film like 'sivaji' releases. 2. films of mallu superstars releasing at the same time are very horrible. 99% of malyalis still give 1st preference to mallu films, they watch tamil films only when there are no good mallu films in cinemas. in places like trivandrum, palakkad the situation might be a bit different, cuz many people there understand tamil. its not the same in other areas like central and north kerala. in my place, kottayam, sivaji ran for 2 weeks only

Are you hearing about such titles for tamil actors for the first time?If yes go take a walk. When there are so many other titles like Megastar ( even for Mammooka) there's nothing wrong with Ultimate Star.I'm a mallu myself & find it very funny to read your comments on the tamil film industry- no body ever said its like Malayalam or bengali film industry. And for your kind knowledge tamil movies these days are doing better than even most of the mallu movies in Kerala these days? And why is that?Dont you know the reason?Stop cribbing man, grow up!!!
