Seems that the discussion is heading towards regionalism....Bengali...Non Bengali...Kishore...Rafi....anybody who has an ear for Old Hindi Film music would know that these 2 greats had a genre of their own...and held their places like no one else...50s and 60s brlong to Rafi, 70s and 80s to Kishore...both have their set of followers...however regionalism does contribute to their successes.
Rafi Saab was named singer of the millennium! Case closed:-D I have been fortunate to see both legends live in concert...Rafi Saab voiceskill is beyond comparision! I am a very big Kishore fan...But Rafi is RAFI!

Kishore Kumar have Mardana Voice and mohd rafi have Janana Voice . kishore kumar is miya rafi ke jo song hai usmey Great Kishore kumar is Purey song per chaye rehte hai rafi ki voice girls jaisi lagti hai Great Kishore Kuamar ke samne . Kishore Kumar is Great we love this singer very much .
“Dil ka bhanwar” would have been 100 times better than Rafi’s version.
Few weeks back in VOI2, Ismail Darbar said “music mahsoos karne ki cheez hai, na ki dimaag lagane ki”..Aur ha, noone could touch or even closer to Kishore in “sur” and karkatein.
abt second songs, just listen “gila mout se nahi hai” line… Kishore’s version has more feel and harkatein than this song.

Yeah that is his problem It should come from throat and brain, heart is just pumbibg machine comaparing kishor and Rafi ?? because in indiain film industry kishore is not second best,after Rafi yesudas, SPB , then only we can count anybody if You cannot enjoy real music we can't help it, after some years You can find out what i said not now, because You are kid

Rafi could make his voice thin or thick (listen to Mere Mehboob Tujhe or the live version of O Duniya ke Rakhwale) depending on the song. Unfortunately, Kishore almost always sounded cheap and hoarse. It was actually a huge weakness of Kishore that he couldn't modulate his voice as well as Rafi could. Again, these things are clear as black and white to people who know music. You'll also learn someday. Kishore was very good, but keep things in perspective.

Kishore was a great singer. However, such was the greatness & superiority of Rafi, that no other singer, however great individually, can really be compared with the great Rafi! I'm proud that Rafi was an Indian. Rafi has been the greatest ever! Rafi's versatility and voice quality remains unparalleled.

Agar Kishore Amitabh Bachchan ko awaj dete to lagta ki Amitabh bachchan ji gaa rahe hai aise hi same Dev anand , mithun chakarborti , Rajesh Khanna , shashi kapoor , Sanjiv kumar , Rishi Kapoor , Jeetender , Sharughan sinha etc .ki films dekh kar sun kar lagta tha jaise yahi gaa rahe hai .

or Kishore Kumar Janta janardan ke dilo mein raj karte they , kartey hai or kartey rahenge .
Kishore Kumar Dil soul se gaate they isliye unke song amar hai .
