Seriously wht uve mentioned is so correct,I really miss watching them. Also i used to love watching He-Man and Giant Robot,Tht was fun,Hp we hv these serials back
Man!! you made me nostalgic with my childhood memories flowing into the canvaas in front of my eyes :-)
I agree with all of the points mentioned here. Long gone are the days we used to visit neighbours' house to watch weekly movies, sitting in a room full of the kids from the whole mohalla.
Those used to be the golden days. shows like Kashish, rangoli, mahabharat, ramayan, Captain vyom, aarohan, stone boy, farmaan, buniyaad, hum log, mitti ke rang.......the list is so long...But these were the shows worth watching many times over. I'll still prefer having one more dose of them then watch some saas bahu crap.
And yes, Balika vadhu and Mohe rang de are good as of now. Correctly said as the only watchable shows on tv right now.
Yes, They were some really lovely serials in those old Doordarshan days. One name prominently missing is " Raag Darbari". Serials were interesting, imaginative, with worthy content, very fine acting, very entertaining yet not bitchy or gossipy. Classy yet not loud. So more peopel are rich now, but money does not beget taste and class.
