Kurukshetra rocks...
by shibin s on Oct 12, 2008 09:31 AM

I dont think Kurukshetra disappoints...May be it is nowhere near his previous one, keerthichakra...but it is the best war film i had ever seen...the director has got many limitations in doing this film....but he had done brilliantly....Mohanlal at his best...

Review should be correct
by GOGO on Oct 11, 2008 11:01 PM

I have not seen this moview, but I believe the review to be correct coz Major Ravi is the director. I have seen his earlier films, he is defenitely not a good craftsman, certainly not any one who can taste success in malayalam with craft that he has. He should try bollywood which guys like priyadarshan are doing so successfully.

A Total Disaster
by sdfghjk vgfc on Oct 11, 2008 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

I went for the movie last night and i must say, Major Ravi should re-consider his profession as a Director. This movie is a total disrespect to the whole Indian Army and all Indians. Will any soldier commit suicide when surrounded by enemies? That is not a Soldier's death, its just coward. Just before that air force officer crashes his flight, just look at the clip we see on screen, its a rip off from some Hollywood movie (Possibly TOP GUN)(Just look at the resolution of that clip). There are so many technical mistakes too; being a Film Student i can say that. We should suspect the director was an Army Officer or just a Cook in the military. MohanLal did the usual, now a days the actor focuses on some “Other Things” than doing justice to his role. In short Kurukshetra is a total disaster and Major Ravi must rethink whether he should continue here as a director or select the job of a security in some Bank ATM, the later sounds far better.
MohanLal needs serious counseling before he select one script and set out to present the Indian version of Superman or what ever. This movie is a total Disaster.

This one is not at all a good movie
by rayees on Oct 11, 2008 01:20 PM

Kurukshetra disappoints. It doesnt even come out as a good war movie. too many masala dialogues and irritating comedies. The worst thing is the director has brilliantly included a hollywood scene directly in the movie without even editing it. what does he think? we people dont see other language movies. If the movie was made like this then they should not have created this much hype around it.

Major Ravi
by BoyFriend on Oct 11, 2008 12:40 PM

Major Ravi don't know the craft. That's what he repeats here after "Mission 90 Days". He may be a good soldier; but not a movie craftsman.
Nowadays, Major Ravi is queuing in front of KamalHaasan's residence to get his dates after Marmayogi to cast him in "Khandahaar flight Hijack" incident movie with Mohanlal. Kamal should think twice before accepting his offer.

most peopel do not know what a good movie is
by jess on Oct 11, 2008 12:18 PM

reading the readers' cmments i feel most peopel do not know what a good mobvie is. Major Ravi simply could not have made a good war movie with the resources he has. So he depends on mohan lal's acting skill, verbose dialogues plus kinds of messages. So what have you. definitely a bad film. of course there are some, rather many who appreciate the above elements. And for them it is a great film. such peope have not even a seen a good war film in their lives. In reality, Kurukshetra just is not a good film.
