The real insult!
by Meena Bhargav on Oct 10, 2008 10:14 AM  | Hide replies

The actual insult was that they had shown Sita (Mona Singh) dancing with Ravan (Bhaji).

Liberlism should not be confused with a licence to do anything. Bhajji's & Mona's dance is not in good taste.
As the custodians of a religion, the Jathedars are doing their duty. Do not comment on them.
We Hindus are liberal, but not at the cost of our value system and religion.

Again do not confuse liberalism with consumerism and pseudo secularism as practised in India.

Harbhajan Singh has cuti his beard
by jasneet oberoi on Oct 10, 2008 08:01 AM

In Sikhism ..one is not supoosed to cut beard...y didn't the Jathedar object Harbhajan on that...we have been seeing him with cut beard since long...This is absolute non-sense that he cannot apply tilak and dance as Ravana..There are many Ram Leela show's where ppl enact Ram and others...I think Jathedar himself shud take some lessons in Sikhism first ..and not blow the issur out of proportion..Just coz Harbhajan is a famous personality...

This is the result of having too many unemployed hacks with a lot of time on their hands. All this religion crap. I say scrap all religions and make work the only religious activity, so that India can match atleast a fraction of the achievements of China. Enough of this religion and regional diversity crap.

Jathedaar has no right to critisize Harbhajan
by mirror on Oct 10, 2008 01:13 AM

If after a few years the same Harbhajan is in some dire straits, is in need of some serious help, this jathedaar wouldn't be anywhere near him !! These kind of ppl are only good for critisizing others but no good for helping others. They wouldn't care if Bhajji fails and falters but they HAVE to show authority by scolding him for minor things !! Millions of Punjabi youths are perishing under the influence of drugs smuggled from pakiland, what has the jathedaar done/said to show some concern !! Where was the same jathedaar when another Maninder Singh when caught taking drugs tried to commit suicide?? Like i said if u r down and out nobody will come forward to even say a few words of sympathy but if u r successful then everybody will become a 'Chowdhary'. Jathedaar has no part in Bhajji's success so has no right to scold him. Only those friends, nears & dears, uncles and aunties who support someone thru highs and lows have the right to scold that person.
