If the same movie was made in telugu with mahesh baabu as hero, it would have been rated 4/5... even after such good acting and well done fights vamshi is being rated only 2..? is story the only factor to rate a movie.?
I saw vamshi and its quite good not bad enough to be rated 2.. i expected rating of 3 or 3.5 !
and y is d user lakshmi rai , so interested in pulling legs..? if she feels d movie is average let her rate is once and move out, and this isn't a place to shit everywhere u like :)

Guest.. even telugu movie no matter by whom it is acted by(I guess mahesh gave on 1 or 2 movies which are rated as 4/5)... most of the movies are utterly atrocias in telugu.. its actually telugu standerd.. they make atrocious movies watched by atrocious ppl...

this chaklam is very jealous of telugu movies and he watches all the telugu movies on the release date and he shits something on the mb of rediff only to spew venom.May be some telugu guy might have screwed his a*s.Poor chop...Anyway chaklam u dont take the pain of watching telugu movies and cry everywhere.I know u r a very big loser staying in the telugu land and crying foul as u r actually a tamilian.God should give u a piece of brains...LOL

Telugu film industry had given a very fantastic hits in the olden days like "sagara sangamam", "shankara baranam", "swati mutyam" etc.one of the great directors in telugu Daasri naryana Rao was really a memorable one

IF REDIFF IS WRONG CHECKOUT SIFY'S REVIEW Vamshi takes revenge on the attackers in a severe style and he is put behind the bars. The local MLA bails out Vamshi and some more clashes separate the mother and son. Vamshi who is No 1 in the underworld on hearing the past of his mother in the hospital where Sharada is admitted; decide to surrender to the police. He comes to inform his mother but his mother’s calculation is different. She feeds him with poison in the food. Further complications and happy ending is expected from a 'masala' film.
Puneeth is good in action scenes and dance numbers. Nikitha is bubbly throughout and she is not there just to run around trees. Lakshmi would definitely get a best supporting actress award for the film. Ravi Kale and Rajendra Karanth shine in their villain roles. Krishna Kumar's cinematography is top class. The mother and son sentiment plus the song of Dr.Rajakumar from 'Hoovu Hannu' Thaayi Thaayi…., are high points of this film.
On the whole, Vamshi does not stand up to the expectations it had raised. Verdict – Average

LOL!!... do u need a qualification to rate a movie..? lol!! LMAO :) Just see the ratings of mungaaru male and milana .. hehe der rating were 3 and 2.5 resp, but they succesfully completed 1 yr ,making a lot in box office.. And it's d audience who decide the fate and not the raters :P i just don't whistle, i know how to separate a good movie from a bad one.. And taking only d story into a/c for rating a movie is a mere shit!!
If it was only d story what do u say about all effort that goes in acting,stunts..technicians..? A rating should indicate a movie taking its overall performance and not just a drop in the story line that the hero gets back even after poisoned by his mom!!,and that some rules of police dept,were not taken into consideration!!. Ok, plz tel me did u really watch d movie..? did u watch those fights tat take place in d market..?doesn't tat fight need and credit..?
If u have a mind set b4 watching a movie or if u r biased, then its not upto me to convince u, if u r broadminded den u may continue :)

Come on yaar, most movies are made for the sake of entertainment and if that movie provides the reqd entertainment,then that's enough, realistic or unrealistic it doesnt matter.. leave out these movies, take for ex: most of the english movies.. Lol, nothing realistic in them!! Anyways, different people think differently and hence its difficult to build a criterion for rating or to come for a common decision on a movie!! Thanks, for keeping this discusion healthy! :)
Many may feel that he is not capable as a hero but he can surprise u...art is in his blood... he is one of the few who gets the body language right for the role...he may not be good looking which is one of his weakness..but he is an intelligent actor who knows what audience expect from him..
vamshi is a very very very good movie....different climax...different fights ...everything is different...ALL THOSE WHO LOVE THEIR MOTHER MUST WATCH THE FILM....but i ask the rediff to agian rate this film please....

Dance is only good to watch on TV when the song is played. Otherwise Puneet lacks intensity in acting to go to theatere to watch though he is one of the best for dance.

Jaggesh is a limited actor. Even those people who are watching him(as a heoro) will no more watch him if he plays decent roles and stops reciting those dual meaning dialogues.Do you think even a single person will be there in the theater if he does a Vishnuvardan or an Anantnag on screen.

When Girish Kasaravalli makes a movie he does'nt try to conince all the people. He makes film upto only his satisfaction and hopes to reach the audience who appreciate his kind of work. On the contraty Jaggesh acts to impress his audience and his limitation lies in the fact that he appeals only to the C-grade audience and biggest hit till today was the one directed by Upendra. He is never able to deliver a bigger hit on his own. Regarding his talent I don't want to comment as we don't know what his talent has till now as he survives only on his vulgar & dual meaning cheap comedy in the industry rather than on acting.

For God's sake plz enlighten everybody here about Camera work, direction, editing as we assume U have received a doctorate in all these...just bcoz some one likes the movie, U have no right to question them about their knowledge. In fact ur taste of Jaggesh shows that U cant raise over his genere of films. That guy is one of the worst actor and politician. His movies are pain for most of the people. But since U like it, dosent mean that he is a great actor. U have also compared Puneeth with his brother Raghavendra...shows that U R posting messages just bcoz U like arguing or else Raghavendra and Jaggesh better than Puneeth!!!! I couldnt help laughing... Lakshmi Rai..I have been reading most of ur posts and had some kind of respect..but after reading ur comments here shows that U R no better than other fanatics. Vamshi is a good movie and deserves more than 3.5 stars. I am not a fan of Puneeth, but like good movies on that this movie is good and better than most of the other Jaggesh's craps. Puneeths performance in front of a powerhouse like Lakshmi itself shows that this guy is highly talented...only weakness is his looks. But looks is not everything. So remove ur prejudice and see the movie as a movie U will definitely like it.

This guy RGV is proved again that he is biased in his reviews, the movie is much better than all the craps that have recieved 3-4 stars from reddiff recently. Dont go by the review, This movie is good
Mass with Class... Excellent script and Exuberant performances from the lead star makes vamshi a memorable film. Best of luck for the movie and puneeth.
