While 80% of pakistan society is extremely religious and without any question let talibans take over the country,it is surprising to see a different view of that nation. While islam has has been misused thoroughly to ethnically erase other religions and cultures, pakistan today is finding hard to get back to old way which is impossible.Ramchand Pakistan may be good effort but Pakistan is on the path of no return as it turned into an evil empire of religious fundamentaists.Good efforts like these do not any sense as the number of hindus in pakistan is less than few lakhs.Pakistan can never compare in that regard to India and it would an insult to humanity to do so.Religion nations can never treated as equals to secular societies!!!Pakistan and islam have ruined each other!

yes i m planning to go it and watch tomm itself. atleast will be saved from some flop shows like drona and kidnap
Watched the first day first show of "Ramchand Pakistani". Was one amongst 9 other audiences in a 350 seater movie hall!!! The other halls showing run-of-the-mill bollywood stuff were running to packed houses. What made the public shun such a wonderful movie- low publicity/Absence of Star power probably???
Anyways here is my take on the movie: The movie is must watch for all movie-lovers who like watching movies of "substance". We often hear news about Indian fisherman languishing in Pakistani jails under inhuman conditions for several years, after being caught inadvertently crossing the nautical border. The story ofcourse is not very different for people living on the other side of the border. More often the people who get caught in the crossings are poor, hapless, innocent people who reside at the bottom of Economic & Social hiearchy of the countries & as such are the most vulnerable & the hardest hit in such a situation. The film takes up this topic & very sensitively & realistically portrays the travails of a young boy & his father caught under such siuation at one end & the desolation of his mother at the other end. Apart from the story, what makes this movie more special is the performance of the entire cast (including our very own Nandita das) & especially the child actors who are first class. All other aspects of the film like direction (from a female director with her first feature film direction), camerawork, music (by an Indian composer), editing are also
