Manoj Kumar
by Special Correspondent on Nov 25, 2008 03:23 PM  | Hide replies

Manoj Kumar should not have dragged this as far as he has. Doing spoofs of yesteryear actors is not something that has been carried out on him alone but only he has chosen to react. It just shows a complete lack of sense of humour.

Shah Rukh was nice to enough to make a personal visit to Manoj Kumar's place and apologize. The matter had seemed to have been sorted out then but Manoj Kumar has decided to rake up this issue again.

No one said the world is full of smart people. On the contrary it is full of idiots. Frankly I could never tolerate SRK as an actor except in Baadshah. Especially the crybaby chickensh!t movies he made with Karan Johar. Never cared for Dilip Kumar either with his "my sh!t doesn't stink" demeanour.

However I do admire SRK for being such a down to earth person despite all the stardom, etc. In that he is a far better "person" than Amir or Salman, the other big names.

You can say that in a way. All are after numbers and rickshawpullers, thelawalas, chaprasis are much more in numbers. Most tickets are bought by these people. Just compare Shah Rukh with gregory peck or Clint Eastwood or Marlon Brando. they had a physical presence and charisma. does shah Rukh compare with them at all.

That's what I said, it is NOT Shah Rukh's loss that you are not his fan.

And if a face is all that matters, why take the trouble to watch a movie. Why not paste a male model's poster on the wall and watch it all day long?

And though Shah Rukh may not be the best looking guy around, he is reasonably good looking.

They should have taken permission before spoofing him. Serves them right. I hope a fine of few crore rupees is imposed so that no one does this in future. Why not spoof Dilip Kumar? Manoj has right to feel aggrieved. Or he should be compensated for being used in this manner. If he was paid a fee for using his name in this manner, there would have been no problem.

Two things:

1. I did not say "lack of common sense" but "lack of sense of humour". In your hurry to be a Shah Rukh-baiter, you don't even know what you are ending up doing.

2. You do not need to resort to name calling (moron, etc). It would be preferable if you can place your points like a proper adult. It is not that I cannot respect another person's point of view but not if he speaks this way.

manjari kudos to you you are there almost everywhere, but something is terribly wrong somewhere, either you are a relative of Manoj kumar or you had some crush on him or you are very old and live in that past glory quite justified and can't stand new age actors or something has got to do with religion you know what I mean or simply hatred for some particular person - it happens too.
I am not a fan of Shahrukh Khan and neither a fan of Manoj kumar but I have enjoyed movies of Shahrukh many times different flavours you know dil se,DDLJ,KKKG,KHKN etc but I could not say the same about manoj I heard once a producer proposed to pay him half since he showed only half his face and I would also say he was old even when he was 25 yr old like he never had that youth in him.
Anyways that never calls for making fun of a person at any stage but does anybody remember which shot or any details or it is just an old persons ego getting personal.
may be I don't know but carry on manjari you have passion.

Regards
Tapan
