While Black n White, Kisna, Yaadein failed I vividly remember that Taal and Perdes made more money from their music than the theatre run. In fact Ghai went overboard with both of them claiming them hits but that was laughed off in the media. Now that can be verified on boxofficeindia.com as both films are marked as below average to average. That makes khalnayak as the last hit film ghai made and even that depended alot on the controversies regarding sanjay dutt's arrest and choli k peechay song. Before that was saudagar and again that was an average grosser making Raam Lakhan the last super hit film Ghai made. The trouble is that it is close to twenty years old and trying to repackage it as Yuvraaj is a silly move. Maybe ghai should stop taking himself seriously and make films that are entertaining and boredom personified in the name of 'meaningful cinema.'

subhash ghai nay jab say shah rukh ko nahee leraha hai film mai tab say is ke sub filmen flop horahee hai.is ki last Hit film Pardes he thee...
could not sit more than 30 mins ,most of the people in theatre were leaving before the interval. Dont know why Subhash ghai is still ignorant that he is in 2008.
it's ok kinda movie..not really so good ...Only 2 songs great oterwise it's time to reitre for subhash and rehamn.Anil is only actor in movie.
They put "Indian brother" seen just like salman real life when he killed some 5 or 6 poor people in mumbai and his sohail and other bhai hide the evidence and clened car....just like that this time he hit and run and his bhai anil saves him...so have nothing to do then can just watch on dvd.
Yuvraaj (or whatever the spelling is, for numerology reasons) is a bad film, a horrible one at that. Poor story, poor screenplay and poor direction. As for performances, Salman Khan gets into your nerves. The less said about Zayed Khan the better. anil Kapoor actually tries too hard, but in vain. Tell me, how many times are we going to be subjected to this Raj Kapoor - Simpleton copy in film after film? Remember his acts in Kishen Kanhaiya? Eashwar? And the several other B-grade flicks that he has done in the 80's? Well, it's gotta stop.
Katrina Kaif is the only eye-candy, apart from the Austrian locales that we have got to enjoy. The image of her playing the cello remains with you.
Overall, an absolute waste of your hard-earned money!
Avoid this movie at any cost. I won't mind spending 3 hrs with Rakhi Sawant against this total crap. Subhash ghai should be charged with complete mis-use of AR Rahman and Gulzar Saab. This nut called subhash ghai shows his ugly face in every movie just to remind and tease us that he can repeatedly make a fool of audiance. Is there any forum of court where we can file a complain of public interest which can prohibit Subhash from making any more movies in the future?

Harry, I agree with you 100%. Once I had the misfortune of sitting through a mega programme that commemorated Hindi Cinema's 75 years (in the 90's). This had Subhash Ghai boring us to death for 2 hrs in his broken English (while most actors and producers and other celebreties stuck to Hindi), behaving as if he is India's answer to Bergman, Fellini, Kurosawa and Hitchcock! It was hilarious at one hand, and extremely unbearable at the other hand. The Hindi film media is to blame for putting such incompetent people on to a pedestal, making them think they are the best in the world! I wish these guys were drawn to court for offering us such sub-standard products!
This is just absurd.....sick plot....dummy performances......age old music....the best part of the entire movie was the intermission when i got a relief from my headache for atleast ten minutes.
