On the other hand watch Rock On, if you havn't. This is what is 'movies in the right direction', and not some skin shows, be it men or women.
Arjun looked healthy and way way cool in the heat of Bombay and in his T-shirts that covered him up to his neck. And what biceps.
Wonderful movie, I saw the movie only for the songs, but was pleasantly surprised. It was a wonderful movie, quite unlike any that I have seen in Bollywood terms. Farhan is a very talented guy, and he deserves merit for the script which showed the strong points of each actor. The dialogues were wonderful. I was amazed that they could be so simple, and was struck by the fact that the whole movie was in complete Hindi, and not hot-potch English words and no bad language or useless swearing thrown in. It is most irritating to see grown men like Abhisekh or any of the actreeses saying 'stupid', or 'shit', a hundred times.
Farhan, keep up the good work, and you have done your father proud a hundred times with this movie. You are no fluke.

I kind of agree to you.
Ash has alrdy done good acting according to bollywood standards, so why the heck is she doing movies wer her role is vry minor nd sometimes film use her jst for the sake of her popularity.
Its ok for other international actresses who don't have alot film in their background, bt they have a pretty face nd physical appeal.
Bt don't hollywood notice her in bollywood movies b.f givin her roles in pink panther nd last legion. Ash's actin is the not the best in films directrd by non-indian directors.
Not evn gurinder chadha has directd her good enough, in order to present ash as an ornament thers sanjay leela bhansali to do tht much better.
The only director who gt the best out of her is jagmohan mundra in provoked. I think thts the best acting of aish so far in her career, nd this movie surpasses all of her other movies by a large extent.
In last legion critics mostly described her as just looking beautiful nd voluptous in her eyes nd action scenes.
I think tht hollywood does not accpt ash's bollywood movies nd jst wnts to give her a fresh start by giving movies like the ones she alrdy got. This way it'll pave her way for bein popular first largly b.c of her beauty.
dostana is a stupid movie of the century. nothing in that movie other than john in shorts and all girls in bikini .. better watch a porn movie. and this stupid flop star aish is telling why she refused this crap movie ..
she has never given a single hit in her career.. just roaming to all function with full makeup showing her clevage..

It ws wierd tht whn john shows his body w/o a single dialogue or emoting, he does it to the tee nd so perfect. Bt whn he does act, emotes, nd speaks he is jst clueless nd he rather enjoy smiling and showin his body.
Sometimes i wonder why this guy acts bt bollywood is a good answer as nowadays, you don't need talent only looks matter.
I really thank GOD that aish refused (or the other way round) Dostana, otherwise it wud've become another sob story with an actor who specializes in roles which require too much sobbing......she anyway wud'nt have been able to do justice to the character like Priyanka .....OMG!!! Priyanka is really cool in this flick , she brought a certain degree of freshness to the role which AUNT aishwarya cud'nt have done anyway......

Huh.. One more poor chap who feels Ash is an Aunty! Dude she is the highest paid actress till date. All the movie offers are first given to her. Right from Kuch Kuch hota hai days. That time Rani got her role as Ash had no dates. That is why Karan Johar is hell bent upon having Ash in his movies. Go and watch kitty Priyanka Ash is beyond your reach

kitty...if u must know priyanka too was miss world...n yes she def can act..thts why she made her presence felt in a movie like dostana where whole focus was on 2 actors & new don for tht matter..u seriously need to watch some gud movies other than ash's.

we shud appreciate that Indian film is moving forward with such bold ideas. Sure the actors were not perfect but at least they are there doing it. Bet all of you criticizing them, cant act as well or wont good as good as them. we shud be proud of our actors for pushing our name across the borders.

Boss Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta are Miss Universes' which is greater than the Miss World title... That just doesn't make anybody worthy ok ... I do watch great movies dude .. That also includes Hollywood movies.. Got that? Now you need to watch some hollywood movies to know what is acting... Ash is not famous for nothing...

Only few indian films ar movin forward w/new ideas. Bold ideas do not count jst for the heck of being "bold". Thers boldness in evrythin from stunts-exposing, special effects-filming in random locations arnd the world.
Ther is always a first time for evrything in bollywood bt thts jst exterior nd not interior. Story and acting counts.
As far as those who ar critcizing, i bet ther ar people who ar as good as abhishk nd john in actin if not better. The answer is to have acting in genes or be a model, most importntly be good looking.
If this is the criteria for acting in bollywood, thn evn you can be better thn both these actors. I bet you mr. thomas.
Actors pushing our names across the borders, i don't see the reason for hollywood actors doin tht for america. Get the age old tradition of these guys ar formal representatives of india, b/c there is the navy for tht in recent news nd u gys shud be proud of them.

Personal frustration is for ordinary guys like you and me. 24 year old Katrina is facing it tough to replace a 35 year old Ash. Why should she be frustrated?
Aishwarya Rai should stop her lies. Everybody knows that Karan Johar told her that she would not suit the role in Dostana, though she was approached initially. Even Abhishek has said the same in many of his interviews. Even Karan had said the same long ago. Aish had gone around telling everybody she was in Dostana, so when Karan told she will not be in it , she went about saying she had opted out and gave lame reasons. Aishwarya is a very dishonest person and she is keeping up to that reputation yet again.

Hey are you dreaming?? All the dailies had carried the report that Ash had opted out of Dostana... Karan had even told that he was very keen to have Ash in his movies... Ash is extremely honest.Probably that is why you cannot stand her.
