U.S. and RUSSIA did all this many years back and now we atr trying to have the old wine from the bottle. Wht is the need for it?? only we will be noticed internationally. at the same time India has got noticed as a country which has got poor people and hunger next to Ethopia. tht's means a poor country like Ethopian is better then India. So what is the need of all this? why we can't spent govt. money for the poor and hunger ?

What rubbish. There was a serial that ran for 3-4 yrs on the Mahabharata. Before that Ramanand Sagar had is Ramayana. Indian TV still regularly carries hindu mythology stories like Hanuman and so forth. Compare this to other religions in India -- I think there was a short lived serial on Bible stories way back in the day. I can't think of any other. EVERY Bharatanatyam dance recital (other classical dances as well) is usually about Krishna or some other God. Aren't you complaining a bit too much? Is it communal and non-secular? Yes, by definition -- Secular means separation of church and state. That word is used only in the context of governments, not people. Religion and government should not mix.Who cares about anything else?

Converts like you should take a lesson from this. Hindus have always respected all religions. But recently i have seen too much of intolerance among converts like you, and hindus are reacting to it.

Divya..In the first place Hinduism is not a religion but it is way of living. Even great scholars are still searching to find our when this way of living originated. They could trace it back to 10000 years back but before that we do not know what really existed. The words Hinduism and Hindu were coined by foreigners to only draw comparisions with other religions. Islam came after Mohammed and christianity after Jesus Christ. We cannot come to a conclusino about Hinduism(way of living) about its birth. It is only primitive religion that still extists. The numbering system(including 0) and arithmetics which the current world is using are part of Vedic Mathematics. We all should be proud to be part of this great culture.
