Why Prem didn't help her out
by Guest on Dec 09, 2008 11:02 AM

About your comment about why Prem didn't help Chandni out inspite of being rich, its because she was self-respecting and did not want to take another persons help in bringing up her siblings. (She considered that responsibility to be hers, and hers alone). It is evident from the movie that Chandni is a proud, strong person and would not take 'alms' from another. To me it was one of the most beautiful points of the film. I'm suprised that the writer of this review did not notice it.

Its a remake of TAPASYA from Rajshree only
by Guest on Nov 14, 2008 02:17 AM

Rajshree though they make clean movies with social message they are now running short of new ideas. The last one VIVAH was like a fresh air but with this one they are again on remake track. Tapasya had Rakhee, Parikshit Sahni and Asrani. ets hope they come up with some fresh one next time.

bakwas....
Vivah was a hit in Bihar...such films can only be hit in the cowbelt....
If every Indian starts watching such films we'll always remain in the third world...
Stupid, regressive, shameful, nauseating....to say the least...
Down with joint families & conspiring relatives...

Not every girl with self esteem or self pride may want to take help from husband to take care of her parental side of responsibility, no matter how rich or financially comfortable he may be. More so , when she can confidence and ability to fulfill her own responsibility.

Wondeful Walk down small town India

A movie in an almost forgotten genre, where values count, where family is important and it need not be done in a great magalomania way.

Great performance by Sonu Sood and Esha. Sonu has a presence on screen, with no Gaodfathers a deserving man is going without a good break I say, while all the Manor Born are enjoying the stardom.

Story does seem incongruous at times. In this day and age there were ways to sort out the issues in a better manner, specially all good at hearts of Rajshri script to handle it. I mean with Prem being such a good guy what was stopping the kids in being brought after the two get married.

Over all good feel good movie. All those songs in the start make you wanna step out for a Pop corn though, and a couple of good song get lost in that rapid fire non stop singing. By the time Sonu gets his hit number it seems the music director resigned, cause after that; about an hour; in the film, there are no new songs far as I remember, just repeatitions.

If one night stands are your values and a girl preferring to wait for maariage so as to take care of her family are pseudovalues then you better watch those hollywood flicks and self proclaim yourself from developed state.....
