Are you looking for a Bond who cracks some jokes and goes around womanizing girls?! That doesn't sound like a super-spy movie!! If you want to know - it is a series! Every series has a start and Casino Royal was the start and this was a sequel. I guess you guys should go watch "Johnny English" or "Pink Panther" if you want the funny James Bond!!!

absolutely right! this movie was supposed to be rough, coz it shows the brutal, and revenge filled bond instead of the suave one that we have seen as roger moore and brosnan...this was actually shown as the early bond!

worst bond movie in the whole series.....every bond fan will expect something new in each movie in terms of techology and action.Its just an average action movie,not even better than the action movies released now and then in hollywood.
Couldn't make head or tail of the story. Maybe another watch is needed to understand. Inspite of best efforts could not enjoy the movie. Either the story is too fast or I am too slow. Can somebody tell what is "Quantum" in the story. And how did "Green" 's body found with "oil in the stomach" and "two bullets in the head"

Best sequel in recent times. Same case with Casino Royale, they say it is not like bond movie. Now they say it is good. QOS is just a climax of Casino Royale
last two lines by Elvis D'Silva -summarizes the whole thing which is quite true for nowdays about all boolywood movies too(specially srk & brigade) - no matter how worst movie they dish out they certainly know how to prove its a superhit & well made orignal concept movie with oscar deserving performances ( e.g. oso) - these movies earn so much just because of hype & mktg. tactics.

Mr. Elvis D'Silva would do well to research the Bond legacy a little before attempting to "review" the latest movie. His statement "The title of this movie is a (not very clever) summation of Bond's quest in the aftermath of Vesper Lynd's death. It is difficult to imagine whether the movie title came first or whether the mystery organisation, unnamed in Casino Royale, got its title so that the pun could be solidified somehow.", just goes to show how completely ignorant he is about Bond. The name, Quantum of Solace, was the name of a short story in Ian Fleming's anthology For Your Eyes Only (1960), although the film is otherwise unrelated to the original story.

So, probably Elvis was referring to the derivation (or missing of it) of the movie's title, to this story..
get over the colonial bond hangover... this is 21st century realistic bond... Do u really think a spy can introduce himself to everyone using his own name? (name's bond, james bond)...thanks that they have changed...
