And thank heavens that the writer of that article was a Tendulkar. Otherwise instead of eleven, there would be eleven thousand hate msgs in this forum by now.
he is one of the g8est play writer of our country.I am happy that i got opportunity to read some his g8 works(i got malayalam translations).But irony is that most of our new generations does'nt know who is vijay tendulakar.Our Govts should do something to propagate great regional works in all the indian languages.I so proud that Vijy tendulkar was my fellow indian.

After all he is just a human. Stop glorifying ordinary human beings. If he is a fine theater personality so be it. Nobody is denying it. Please dont make him more than human

I agree what Santosh has said about Vijay Tendulkar.Yes, Many people have not understood this great Man. I am lucky , I came in contact with him. Being very senior, he was just like a friend. I had opportunity to visit him many times and talk on many subjects. Incidently and accidently , I was publisher of his Book " RAMPRAHAR ". It was a great experience for me to know and understand this great writer. I was fan . Publishing was my hobby . It was a side business and nothing related to my technology business. In very first meeting , he said, " Gangakhedkar , there is not much money in Marathi publishing . Why you want to do this when you are running such a nice technology business." I came in contact with him when I invited him for Book Release function of Anant Bhalerao who wrote "KAWAD" which was my first publication. He was knowing Anant Bhalerao who was the Editor of Marathwada Daily and a great journalist. From this event , we bacame a friend. My office was in Vile Parle very close to his house. He used to vist my office and we used to talk on many subjects. He purchased PC and later on Laptop and was very good in using it for script writing when all other Marathi authours were afraid of using PC. He loaded Marathi Fonts as he was mainly writing in Marathi.He was learning like a child. He was keen in understanding developments in science and technology. Mr. Santosh, its a great work. I am a Muslim and I agree with Shuja partially. The reason is a lot of Indians understand muslims and their feelings. But their numbers are coming down because of some educated illiterates who malign Islam & Muslims & eventually sow the seeds of hatred in the hearts of our non-Muslim brothers. Every sane person should hate Islam. Its people like Vijay Tendulkar and his ilk who have tried to keep people in the dark by painting a goody goody image of islam even though knowing well that its a murderous religion. These people are no less than traitors.
Onu three messages on this board since his sad demise shows how we concern about Mr. Tendulkar. He was ALL TIME GREAT MARATHI PLAYWRITER .Possibly only potential of Indians to get NOBLE in Literature. His bold writing use to create lot of uproar in the society but he never had a thought of reverting back from it. His stand on Mr.MODI was also very much criticised by the right wing . We must not forget that he was the only revolutionary writer ,who criticised BRAHMINS through his writings
Mr Tendulkar has expressed his understanding of the muslim community so much that it really feels nice that atleast some part of hindu community in India know how the muslims feel. If the articles written by him which rediff is showing us now was written by some muslim then all the anti-muslim bloggers will be filling this page with hate comments. I wonder where they are now.
