Marathi films I don't happen to see. But when regional films get more than two star rating, what went wrong with Bhootnath? Something unusual should get proper rating. I thought Bhotnath will get review like Gopi Gayan Bagha Bayen, though not a masterpiece, but yet the fantasy film is better than masala film, will film scribes wake up, pls? Do they know what is Gopi Gaayen Bagha Bayen, which film I am talking of?
Rediff is doing a good job here by bringing a the review of a marathi film into focus.Indian films go beyond Bollywood no-brainers and there are a number of regional films in Marathi, Bengali and Malayalam which have won international acclaim.
Its good that rediff has taken to expanding its horizons..this should improve the visibility of these movies at all India level...nice work rediff!!
