Plot sounds similar to Soldier

The plot seems to be similar to Abbas Mastan's Soldier which had Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta in the lead.

by chander thakur on May 10, 2008 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

I read the story of this movie. Just I was wondering is it really practical in real world? Ofcourse Jr.NTR did well in dances/action and now he changed himself. Also the movie supported by kids entertainment (hansika). Anyways the point is how long our tollywood will produce un practical movies? make movies which make some sense.

All I was talking about some good movies with meaningful subject. I never said that Hollywood/bollywood movies are all make sense. In telugu, take Happy Days looks more realistic than other movies like, JALSA/Kantri/Athidi......

Chander,
Very few movies from many industries are realistic. Movies are meant for fun and entertainment. If you are looking for realistic movie, you might end up waiting for atleast an year in any language. Don't post these comments. You might have meant different but thats not the right word.

We could understand from your language where you are from, how sick of you to call a whole community....if one idiot asked u to watch kuruvi, reply to him but u have no rights to make fun of a community.. even in your state the movies are made or copied in the same way.

If you are educated and cultured, you will understand...

kuruvi-a realistic movie for deaf and dumb
cos normal humans cannot withstand the ugliest dialogues and comic stunts performed by tht hero. if he goes in this way in future the hearing impaired will also avoid to watch tht kind of crap... hope he understands the lesson and come better in next movie

Aaron,
I haven't made any fun of the community. Forget about me, if you are educated you will understand what i meant.
1. There was no need of brining tamil topic here.
2. They really deserve...whatever you say to them as they keep on criticizing other industries when they have no clue what they are talking.
3. Screwing around with people, talking bull.
I can post many negative feedbacks about them..
FYI... forums are for personal opinions and I shared my own. I dont understand how education and culture is a factor overhere. To certain extent you are absolutely right but not always we can read and ignore these messages.Hope you understand here.

Jr. NTR
by Vikram on May 10, 2008 03:51 AM  | Hide replies

Jr. NTR is a talented actor, who was much appreciated for his role as rama in balaramayana which was made when he was 13 year old. He can dance well(only classical dancer in Telugu films), dialog delivery is superb, and can blend into any character with ease and aplomb.

I have seen movies in many languages(Asian/European) and can vouch for the talent of this guy. But he has to put with the same ordeal of mass movies, that requires little talent, but more show off. He would be giving the likes of Surya, Vikram, a hard run for their money, if he learns tamil and acts in quality Tamil movies(of which they make many).

But alas, that does not seem to be in the offing. His grand father was a legend, who has the distinction of being the most respected Telugu person ever, so this poor guy has no where to go, but swim through the routine masala movies and waste his talent.

Some of them. Like Vettaiyadu Veliyadu, Kakka Kakka, Pithamagan, Anniyan, etc. They are certainly top class. It's mostly because there are best cinematographers, script writers, and directors like Gautam menon, shankar, maniratnam, bala. We had ram gopal verma, but he packed of to bollywood due to conservative nature of telugu movies.

IF not top class, Tamil definitely better than Telugu movies.. We're seeing some remakes from Telugu by Jeyam Ravi that are really STUPID.How could these movies be super hits in any language?

And , besides that, more Tamil movies made it big in national scene than Telugu (almost none). is n;t that a good proof? Roja, Bombay, Khadalan, Gentleman, to name a few.

This is the problem with us!!! No wonder why we were ruled by BRITISH for such a long time. Even after that we haven't learned what exactly is the diversity and aprreciating the other clutures. In our country the people live in each state or part of the state has got different culture/attitudes. Coming to the point, some one's classis movie can become a masala movie for people from other parts of the country. Lets take ROJA.. ITs a great movie with
great message. But some of the scenes in the begining (village scenes including the song for the first night, the dance is vulgar) are seems like adding masala to the so called classic move. Maniratnam is a great director but he could have done those scenes much better. He probably used this for the masses. So here you go.. I have heard in the last 2 years many movies were remade in Tamil.

Appreciating cultures has nothing to do with it. Don't say Telugu masala movies are a showcase of Telugu culture. They are not. It would be an insult to Telugu culture which is very rich and I am proud of it.

Vikram,
I am not saying the the culture of the people is represented in the movies. If it is it would have been really nice. I have been reading lot of nasty comments here about comedy scenes or heroes or heroines are not being good in telugu films. What I was trying to say is we have to look at each movie whether its telugu or tamil with an open mind instead of routinely talking about our movies are great or tamil movies are great. I agree and happy that there are quite a lot a good and quality movies recently from teugu industry.

Hansika : Another name for child abuse ???
by geela parul on May 10, 2008 03:26 AM  | Hide replies

I am really surprised at hansika`s career.

We indians really need to introspect about our values.

This is a girl who is still sixteen and she is posing and acting like adults with men swooning all over. At the age of 12 she enacted a rape scene and nobody questioned what will be the emotional impact of the child.

If she can act in films and pose like adults then where is the line for child abuse.
We call people sick and pedophiles who swoon at
underage girls...but this time unknowingly the massess are getting sick themselves and losing the right to point finger at others.

Stop this child Abuse !!!!!

She will be 17 on 9 th of august and will be 18 next year. But for her the damage has already
been done.
But how come the women commission in India which raises lot of hue out of petty scenarios are silent and bild on this issue?

This is something film censor board should have taken care off? Where are they?
There should be public debate and the film idustry should be brought to disrepute for all this....this is the solution.....else it is definitely going to set a trend.

Casting couch in the film/media industry is a norm.....HELP !!! SAVE CHILD FROM ABUSE

Hello Geela Parul, I agree your concern about child artists in films. Do u think its child's mistake acting as adults at tender age? I have different view on this. Its not the kids or audience? its parents who force their kids into these activities for monetory benefits. They are aware of what girls go through in film industry. So, Parents are real culprits. Its only my View.

Right, exactly, why raise a voice against the wrong ? How very Indian, isn't it ? Had we not maintained this attitude, we would have got freedom long time ago. Its about a trend which will start and set an obnoxious trend, that is what Mr.Prakash I am worried. How do you know you will not be at the receiving end?
When all of the society will stop seeing anything wrong in alluring a teenage girl.....I will see how you handle that situation when you have your daughters.

you are right dear, but we will have to open our minds and do some brain storming to find a solution. Child abuse is something which is taking our country in a much stronger wave then even AIDS. Partially it is becuse of the migration and poverty since ppl move to far off places for earning money and do not get married for long, this affects their psyche and children are always soft targets as they do not oppose much. The subject has to trated with a very large prospective then it seems as so many factors play in. To start with censor board can stop underage ppl to work in films but then they will be accused of stoping creativity and abusing the power to project real traumas on life to ppl. But govt could mandate a step that rapist, child abusers wil be punished with the most painful death at the teeth of the hungry hounds and that should be live telecasted so that anyone who gets the idea of this must pause with shiver before committing such an act. Ditto for the spurious medicine manufacturers.
